And I seriously dont know why people have this idea that most of us in this forum HATE Ishaan and Jay Soni😕If you could devote some of your time and go through these threads,I am sure you'll all get to know that members here love Ishaan/Jay as much as they love Suhana/Ragini.All these posts were written in due appreciation of Jay and Ishaan before October 2010.So you all can understand that the only time people here started disliking Ishaan's character is after Sona came in coz thats when the creatives completely murdered his character.

Yeah right! And I want SRK opposite Ragini...just kidding. This is a never ending debate and everyone are going to have their favourites. If looks are important, then Jai manages to look convincing as the simpleton. A hot hunk acting as a simpleton would've looked fake IMO. If story is important, then too Jai is perfect, as the entire theme of the story is opposites attract.

No yaar changing the actor will totally change the flavour of the story. As the story will proceed you'll come to know why someone like Jay was selected for the role. He's really playing it well..

Jay is perfect as ishaan. a good actor need not to depend on couple. karan grover's pairing with all the three riddhimas are successful jennifer's pairing with all her male leads chaitanya, karan grover, karanwahi all success kritika kamra have good chemisrty with karan kundra and vivan both its a mark of good actor. I am sure Ragini is good actor and can make chemisrty with Jay Soni following the script. SGP is about a odd couple they have to convince audience they make an odd couple which successfully they are doing. Ishaan is NOT JUST A NERD. he needs to have a boyish child type of attribute he is not supposed to be a mature man type he has to look very young and unattractive foolish type. If it was like rab ne banadi or do hanson ka joda then any actor old or young can play it by wearing a glass but ishaan's mannerism and looks fit Jay perfectly.

Amir n Ragini made an excellent pain in BB but Amir doesnt suit this role of Ishan uska kya? Ishan is very introvert and moma's boy type of character and Amir will look matured than what is needed in the role.I am sure Jai will do justice the role just wait and watch after the great marriage between the tow opposite poles occur.
Btw, the show is giving a message that plain looking people too can have a great heart to love so they couldnt have afford ed a handsome hunk here.

I think he is awesome. They made him look simple and not all that smart because that's what the story is about...Suhana marrying someone who is not her type...not the rich, smart, handsome, hep kinds. But even though the way they have made him look, when they show a close up of his face, I can see he is sooo cute looking! He's so good looking...his eyes are so expressive.

anamika123, Jay Soni is a handsome dude.. it is the requirement of the story that he doesn't look attractive. The message the creatives are trying to give the audience is, Don't Judge the Book by the Cover!!! Often best things don't come in attractive packages. Ishaan is one such example in SGP storyline.

shaan is a simple character, no glamor ... nothing. Even if they bring in someone new, he'll have to act and dress just like Ishaan is supposed to. They will still not be showing how hot the actor is...so no reason to change the present guy!!

For me, I vote for Jai and his looks as Ishaan... We should appreciate him for his courage to go with such a character which dont hv any so called "hot n handsome" scenes... Now youngsters look for such glamorous characters and he is unique in that way by selecting "Ishaan" ... 👏

I think the way the CVs want to show ishaan, is exactly the way jay Soni has been dressed and made to act. he is doing the job superbly as an actor-ishaan
infact the way suhaan & her background has been potrayed are opposite of isshan and his family background---- & this is why the show is going great guns!

Moderator must delete this topic. We are not here to criticize some one. In my view jai soni is doing his job in an excellent way and he is completely inside the character. With such a natural acting and natural touch to the character, it is just impossible to imagine some one other as Ishaan. Jai is just superb and far better than any other . Please delete this topic, it will make SGP fans happy😊.

I read everybodyns PO,s until page 7 and could resist writting my own PO. Guyz and Galz, the paring is of SUHANA and ISHAAN, two characters who are just opposite each other in everyway, one is most beautiful and bubbly type full of life and not family oriented at all, ( that is Suhana) where as Ishaan is a simple person who is intelligent but his life revolves around his family and its values. Now come to the point the pairing is NOT between RAGINI KHANNA and JAI SONI as they are marely playing the role of the characters, I think the creatives have done a superb job is choosing both of them as they PORTRAY the character very realistically, look around and you will many happy couples who do not MATCH in anyways but THERE is SOMETHING very SPECIAL which brings them CLOSE and FALL for eachother. Sasural Genda Phool is about a STORY, and thousands of us like it because its LOGICAL story which we can relate and see around us, its not about PAIRING etc, etc. I cant imagine a handsome hunk playing the role of Ishaan, would do justice with the role just by wearing glasses, Jai Soni is just doing fine , there are many episodes where he just stole the show. Ragini is just faboulous .

I absolutely adore Ishaan's character and I think Jai Soni plays the role perfectly. He is so true to his character. His love for Suhana shows is so tender and comes across v well. A simple guy who understands a complex person like Suhana and gives her the space she needs in the hope that she will grow to love him.

Sorry.These were just two topics which I found out but I really wanted to find out and paste more such appreciation comments about Jay in the forum.If you guys were present when the show had started,the parting gift episode,the 1st SPA where Suhana-Ishaan were present,when Jay dedicated a shayari to Suhana,the first Suhagraat talk just after Sushaan got married and loadss of other comments in this forum,you would have realized that everyone has praised Jay in this forum.Now that the character has become completely ruined...it will automatically be irritating to see Jay coz he IS the one who plays Ishaan isnt it?Same way like I completely dislike Ragini these days coz though being a fan of her,I hate the irritating nature of Suhana and thats why even I hate whenever ragini comes on screen these days.
This forum never had this issue of competition of leads..who is better...who is not...here the whole cast is adored as one single unit..no lead actor no lead actress.I agree in this forum there are more topics appreciating Ragini than Jay but why?Because she is the protagonist of the show...unlike other shows where a bare chested hunk and hot scenes and six pack abs gives rise to TRPs instantly,here it is the charm of Suhana which appeals to the audience(remember?most popular character on TV..)..and because she is literally all over television..sony,zee,imagine,star everywhere...she is discussed more in this forum..plus not to forget her fans from RKB and BB days...
SO please dont think this forum is biased towards Ragini and not Jay and Ishaan.Personally speaking,Ishaan was my most favourite character in the begining.He had all the essence of being the star in the show with Suhana...but what do we do if his character is ruined like what we saw during Amnesia and BT track?I admit,whenever I see Ishaan on screen my blood boils like anything..but I cant just shut my mouth up and say goody goody things even if I dont like him in the show.Same goes for other members here.Lets keep all the fan fighting and kaun kisse accha hain in the respective actors profile itself.Why are we fighting like this with each other?
