shounak , i am not a bengali !! I said that mere bangla se door door ka rishta nahi hai (am marwari). sikhan pada mujhe bengali :) and i didnt watch obs w/o understanding bengali. I could understand almost entirely, by watching the old spg, by their actions, expressions..and now i can passof as a bangla person..infact i too was surprised that i could watch a serial in foreign language, but that is because bangla is a really sweet language..
for eg in hindi if you are to say slap, you will say thappad etc..which is so harsh but in bangla its like chol..or something which doesnt feel that you are slapping someone..it is indeed a sweet language.
I had to do google at times, at times understand the contnext but now i can understand bengali well..!
ami ameke bangla bondhu (sang) bangla mein golpo kari..I know its poor grammar but i cant miss a chance to show off my bangla skills 😉

actually i think the first time i heard of obs was in june but at that time i did try to watch obs, couldnt , kuch samjh nahi aya
and then i watched it again when that whole 20k dress jhamela happened. I was like its enough, i have to see how the whole thing materialises so i started watching from the time of lolita's maha thod fod !
Infact i think we shud have a thread for obs/sgp now , because now we have a lot of populateion who have watched both serials !!
