Anyways, everything you've said is true but honestly, if this government and these ministers have done NOTHING for the poor and needy in sooooo many years toh ab kya sochenge? Do you really think these egocentric and self-indulgent people give a crap about those living in slums and surviving on less than $1 per day? I am neither for India hosting the games, neither against it....hosting the CWG is just a chance for them to SHOW OFF to the rest of the world (even though they have miserably failed at even that). India ki halaat sudharne mein saalon lag jayenge, par pehle koi sudharnewala bhi toh chahiye. If the leaders of our country think that wasting billions and billions of dollars on hosting these games is worth it as opposed to using that money to advancing the nation, then what can we do? Anyways, hum jaise bolne wale bahut hai, karne wale kam. And we were just commenting on the ceremony and how good it was. Ab iss ceremony ke badle humne kya kya khoya hai as a country, uska discussion toh bahut lamba chal sakta hai but lets not get into it because it is pointless.
But at the end of the day, I say

aapne sahi kaha but i feel ki hume apni apni duties karni chaiye chahe wo kisi bhi level pe ho ya uska koi bhi tarika ho , yaha kuch CWG ko praise karne wale comments dekhe to socha thoda bahut iske baare mein likh de agar kisi ek tak bhi baat pahuche to theek hai nai pahuche to aur bhi theek , humne apna kaam kar diya, maine waise bhi lines ko reply diya naaki comments likhne walo ko kyonki kai toh teenegers hi hai yaha pe , dheere dheere hi pata padta hai, ye likha isliye taaki hamare ye chote bhai behan kuch pade agar acha lage to vichar kare jyada seriously nahi bas thoda bahut ki hum aise show off ko jyada praise na kare because it creates illusion.

Again SORRY for this Useless Debate, You Quoted very well , no need to discuss these things here but i replied once again just to seek forgiveness.

WORD!

LOL love those last two lines Sanu! 😆 Aww got me a little senti too in a weird way!

But yeah Sinha18, I do agree with you and yeah appreciate the thought. But actually I chose to look at this event in a positive way. Call me naive, dumb whatever you want I really don't care, but I think having optimism is the best way to deal with these situations.

I think this event is actually a good thing. It's a reality check too. Right now, the truths about our government and all are coming out in front of the whole world. While I know that nobody is unaware of these things either, and maybe today's news will be history tomorrow. But at least we're forced to THINK about these issues!

From all this media and all, people can question the government and hold them responsible for their actions.

And yeah, you're right that all this money could be used to help the nation, but like Sanu said, this chance to show off doesn't come often, lol and helping the nation toh our government has conveniently avoided for many years now.

And plus, I think this is going to help a little. Maybe not a lot, but I mean India is still on the map now. These kinds of events help people become more aware. And the more the awareness the better for the country no?

Plus I like to think (maybe I'm naive and too optimistic again), but I do like to think that all the people who have helped put this event together have benefited in some way. Mostly I mean the participants, like all these talented people. They have gotten recognition, a chance to show their talent to the whole world! I would DIE for an opportunity like that!

And the whole national pride, unity, coming together, these feelings are SO important for our nation. Our country where people give a damn about the bigger picture and the betterment of everyone. A country where people only look for personal gains and all, I think these feelings of pride and unity are important in helping the nation succeed.

So maybe I'm sounding really emotional here, but I like to think that something good comes out of everything. I think this is a good opportunity for India after all's said and done. 😳

Ab aap to sharminda kar rahi hai, hum toh aapke shagird hai aur waise bhi jab tak aap yaani ki hamari GURU, hamari Is sena ki Senapati maiden mein hai tab tak wo khali kaise ho sakta hai, ye kuch lines aapke liye:

Hazaron taare (yani ki hum shagird log) bhi dur nahi kar pate hai raste ke andhkaar ko,
ek suraj(Laxmi ji)kafi hai subah ko rasta dhikane ke liye.
neend ke andhare door kar sapno ko haqiqat mein jagane ke liye,
aap ek nayee umeed hai is soye hue zamane ke liye.

That plus the excitement of CWG....control nahin hua! 😆 .....Uffffff! Chalo humare nakhre koi sehen karne wala toh mila...😆 Arey sach mein yaar, tum sab ne ek ek cheez ki analysis kar dali..ab mein kya add karo. Anyways, I loved the episode....specially everyone piling into the car. I still remember 9 of us squashed into the car in India on 15h August and went to see lotus temple and Appu ghar...😆..totally a desi thing to do, squash the entire family in one car. I toh love it!

Khair, we'll prob. get kicked off this forum pretty soon so let's enjoy it while we can! :P 😆 Haha...my God! Reputation itni kharaab ho chuki hai humari *tch*tch* 😆

LMAOOOO SO true! Kissi ko bhi bitha do! 🤣 They prob. will have to pay people to sit there soon! 😆 My dad was telling me about how they do this for the Republic day parades too! LOL Cuz no one wants to go watch them, but they have to make it seem as if the whole of India is there only! 😆 So they literally distribute free passes to people to come watch. 😆 Sachiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii???? OMFGGG! No matter what the shortcomings I LOVE MY INDIA for being just soooooo damn ENTERTAINING...😆

O man, yaar, seriously it was SO annoying and disheartening to read all those initial news. But really, can't deny the fact that our government is still really corrupt. And beech mein SO many people just ate all that money! Plus all the last minute stuff...so obviously people will complain. And people expect everything to be perfect at these events! It's a huge responsibility man, the pride of the entire nation depends on it...so karna hi hai toh dhang se karo na! EXACTLY YAAR! I've already said that i was neither for India hosting it nor against it but karna hai toh please honestly toh kaam karo. It was sooo obvious that there has been some dwindling of money and fir end mein jugaad karke they were hurrying it all up. It really disgusted me..🤢 and was the very reason i was weary of India hosting such a huge event. I mean, you need organisation, structure, good management for such an event and India mein toh har choti se choti cheez ke liye kich kich kich kich karni padti hai. And I also heard that the workers were killed building the metro because of shoddy work which caused some of the construction to crumble. I mean really, itna sab kuch khone ke baad bhi India is still being projected as unworthy and incompetent at organizing the games. Its very saddddd!

O yeah the chayiya chayiya bit was how they started the train ride! LOL They had a person dressed as SRK and doing SRK moves on the train! 😆 ...HAHA! Chalo koi nahi, thank God they avoided turning the ceremony into some Bollywood extravaganza. :P

O yeahhhh that tabla kid was SOOO adorable! He was having so much fun na? Didn't even care how many people were watching him and all! Adorable and so talented! Even the people playing the drums and all, had SO much energy! It was amazing to watch so much energy, culture, music, art, history, everything! DITTO! I LOVED the kids smile. :):):):)

O yeah.....ok I feel bad now for spamming too....sorry haiga Anu! 😳 Maybe we should take this somewhere else now...😳 Haha...I'm gonna run away before decides to hammer us for spamming mindlessly...😆

And I seriously *heart* the way Hariharan sang "Swagatam" and the dude who played the flute during the Gandhiji bit.....as for Rahman's perfromance, it was really good but I found the Shiamak Davar troupe of dancers dancing in the bg kinda annoying....lame choreography....especially for the Jai ho part.....the classical/folk dancers were a ZILLION times better.

Oh and I really like the CWG theme song now after hearing it in the ceremony....haha

@blue: WORD! Exactly what I said to Pallu above. India is related to Bollywood but Bollywood does not represent India. Thank God they realised that. And all those little things they performed are truly a part India and its culture...so good on them.
@purple: Ohhhhhhh! Toh it was them, no wonder, they seemed soo familiar. Oh God, I honestly HATE SD's dance troupe..🤢...their choreography is sooo damn pathetic and I'm sick of seeing them at every damned award function.
lol..and I'm glad to hear that atleast SOMEONE likes the theme song. Warna toh 99% of the population seemed disappointed.
PS. Thanks for letting us spam Anu! We owe you...😆

@Sinha18: That's a very valid point.....but I guess for now we should take this moment to appreciate the effort and hard work that has gone into pulling off the spectacular opening ceremony....that is also quite an achievement on a worldwide platform.

Word dude! Dittooo!! 😆

I was really happy that they showed actual INDIA and not just bollywood stuff! I was proud of the way they managed to show even the little things like you said, the juice ki dukaans, and cycle repair shops!! I mean what an awesome thought na? Showing the common man like that!!

And even all the history like yoga, and guru-shishya concept, Gandhiji bit, all these things were SO well conceptualized! Amazing creativity and thought behind all this!

And they did manage to get in some bollywood bits too so they actually covered a bit of everything.

And WORD on the Rehman performance! Those background dancers were so distracting!! Looked avin faltu, zabardasti gussa-ed in types!

I LOVED the folk dancers!! They were awesome! We have like a GAZILLION cultures man! It was so awesome to see all this at once! Really spell-bounding!

And yeah, I loved the music for both the Swagattam and the Gandhiji bit. Got me really emotional! And the way they did those sand drawings of Gandhiji and the march was AWESOME!

We have SO many talented people man! SO much pride!

Edit: LOL and YAY thanks haijee for letting us spam! 😆 🤗

LOL..Himanshu, you don't have to apologize. You made a post regarding what you felt and there is nothing wrong in that. You wanted to make a point and that is absolutely fine. And I do agree, humko toh CWG ka yeh pehlu dikhta hai par sab logon ko nahi. Kuch logon ko India ki halaat se farak nahi padta, aur kuch log karna toh bahut kuch chahte hai par kar nahi paate hai. We were just praising the ceremony because it really projected the true spirit of India and our culture, we all are educated people who do realise there is another side to the coin, but jo acha hai, uski tareef karne mein toh kuch nahi jaata na :)

Laxmi you are TOO cute yaar! 😆 Love your emoticons and the hilarious way with which you described each moment of the scene! 😆

LMAOOO yeah Ishaan so fits the 'thakur' role and Suhana toh def. is the gabbar! 😆 She was so proud of it too na? 😆 Serious nautanki this girl is man! 😆

But yeah, TOTALLY agree about Suhana's mannerisms showing her love for Ishaan. Yeah like you said, these little gestures of affection she shows mean alot!

O yeah, I guess it would've been nice if they had extended that little moment between IS a little longer, or like you said shown some car scenes. Maybe they will come tomorrow?

But still, the sweetness to the scene was intact and as long as that's there I think I won't have any complaints with IS scenes. 😆 And of course as long as both Ishaan and Suhana are in character which they were.

O yeah about the scooter bit, well I thought it was hilarious how excited Suhana was to FINALLY get rid of all the scooter stuff. I mean you can't blame her yaar! It REALLY needs to be gotten rid of now! Suhana kya, even the family members are against Ishaan's scooter man. So I didn't really mind Suhana's reactions there.

And Ishaan se toh it's expected. 😆 He's toh of course gonna get senti over his scooter! 😆

But I liked that little moment IS shared after Ishaan had halke se tears in his eyes as he told her that he sold his scooter. I'm talking about today's scene now not the precap....sorry for rambling...but I liked that look of understanding Suhana gave Ishaan there. I thought it was significant.

But I don't expect her to sympathize with Ishaan TOO much about this scooter thing also yaar. It's GOOD riddance man! Of course she'd be happy about it! 😆
