@cute2stay
i guess pallu..πŸ˜ƒ..it's been after a long-long time(for me atleast as i have been absent for the forum for 3 months- got active only 2 weeks back) that i got to read such long posts of yours.... so it was a real pleasure reading them yaar....😍
yes.... Thakkur-Gabbar scene really shook me off...Infact i had made a questionnaire in Genda phool of the week asking some hilarious questions named SGP ka sholay : The questions were
1. If Suhana is Basanti who is Dhanno?
2. Who r the thakkur-Ghabbar of SGP?
3. Who r the Jai-Veeru of SGP?
4. and the Jaya bachan of SGP...
i guess i don't remember others but strangely i found the answer to my 2nd question yesterday.... it was def. different from what i had thot off yaar......πŸ˜† so u can imagine my level of excitement when SGP got into a SHOLAY mode.... i was frozen for a sec.....πŸ˜†
Again.... somewhere i feel i disagree with u reg. the getting rid attitude of Suhana reg. the scooter.... after all that was the main reason he met her.... and i loved Ishaan to bits when i noticed those moist eyes of his when he uttered that he sold it off.... I felt really sad for him yaar.... obviously i did not expect Suhana to understand his emotions.... but wud be happy if she gets to understand him better.... as love is about knowing a person in totality and not just accepting the greens.... Badi maa is so understanding ...infact she was the only one to understand his feelings.... though it is true that it was in a bad shape as Dadaji said.... but certain material things r so closer to us in our life that its separation gives us pain....it moves on to a level of an emotional-attachment....!

I still remember 9 of us squashed into the car in India on 15h August and went to see lotus temple and Appu ghar...πŸ˜†..totally a desi thing to do, squash the entire family in one car. I toh love it!

LMAO yeah I'll give you that. We DID analyze har ek cheez detail mein...esp. me I toh can't REST in peace until I've said EACH and every detail about each scene! 🀣 A slight chindi si problem I have there. πŸ˜† Sometimes I wonder how people even tolerate reading my posts! Kabhi na kabhi toh thak haar ke fed up ho hi jaate honge! πŸ˜†

O btw remember our long post competition? 🀣 Which I should have participated in and won! Hmphhh! Koi, ni I WILL get my credit some day! *determined muh* πŸ˜†

But OMG SO true about the car!!! O wow are you born in Delhi too Sanu? Meeeee toooo!!! :D I remember going to Appu Ghar too! And India Gate!!! OMGG *super nostalgic muh* Those were the days man! I miss being a kid!! :(

And sitting on people's goadi's and all! 🀣 Gotta hand it to Indian people man- we have the jugads for EVERYTHING! πŸ˜† We have our ulte tede ways of doing things! πŸ˜†

But yeah, ok back to SGP, I loved how they showed that too! πŸ˜†

Haha...my God! Reputation itni kharaab ho chuki hai humari *tch*tch* πŸ˜†
Haan bhai reputation toh kharaab a certain *cough* youth show *cough* ke forum se hi hai humari! 🀣 Gotta live up to it you know! 😎

Sachiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii???? OMFGGG! No matter what the shortcomings I LOVE MY INDIA for being just soooooo damn ENTERTAINING...πŸ˜†
LMAO Yep. I kid you not! And yeah SO true, whatever the shortcomings man, We ARE damn entertaining! Can't deny the facts there! πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

EXACTLY YAAR! I've already said that i was neither for India hosting it nor against it but karna hai toh please honestly toh kaam karo. It was sooo obvious that there has been some dwindling of money and fir end mein jugaad karke they were hurrying it all up. It really disgusted me..🀒 and was the very reason i was weary of India hosting such a huge event. I mean, you need organisation, structure, good management for such an event and India mein toh har choti se choti cheez ke liye kich kich kich kich karni padti hai. And I also heard that the workers were killed building the metro because of shoddy work which caused some of the construction to crumble. I mean really, itna sab kuch khone ke baad bhi India is still being projected as unworthy and incompetent at organizing the games. Its very saddddd!
O god yaar, seriously! It was really bad organization and planning. And I actually went to India (New Delhi only) 2 years ago and kind of saw the whole 'planning and preparation' phase. And I read in the papers that the way they were planning to 'clean up' the slums and all were to hatta them from where they were 'visible' and move them to someplace that's not too visible! :O I mean W*H kind of a solution is that man! It's like let's hide the dust under the rug kind of thing! πŸ˜† I can only imagine what the people actually living in those slums have had to face! And yeah you're so right about the 'kich kich'! LOL It takes YEARS to get stuff done! Apparently they're STILL not done with the construction of some stuff! Talk about last minute man!

But they still HAVE accomplished alot I gotta say actually. The Metro is AWESOME dude! I've been on it!! It's like the subway!!! It's air conditioned and everything...really clean too. I'd much rather take the Metro than travel by car in Delhi ANYDAY! So they've done an awesome job with some aspects!

And even some of the highways and stuff they've built are pretty good. Not all though, just some. πŸ˜†

And even when I was in India I did witness alot of preparation in terms of the environment too. Like encouraging people to stop littering, preserve the air, pollution etc.

But yeah, can't deny the shortcomings too though. I guess it's a learning experience too. Hopefully we'll learn from the mistakes and do better next time. If there ever is a next time. lol Issi bahane at least the air is ALOT cleaner in Delhi, there is a metro, pollution/garbage is a lot less, people CARE more...so there's def. good stuff too. lol

The only thing though is that all this 'good stuff', only the rich or the middle class people will benefit. The poor will still be where they are. I wanna see the day when the poor also benefit from something in India! lol Tab baat banegi na! lol

...HAHA! Chalo koi nahi, thank God they avoided turning the ceremony into some Bollywood extravaganza. :P
Yeah, SO true! I was glad they only showed that bit for like 2 seconds too. It was pretty funny how they incorporated that also! πŸ˜†

Haha...I'm gonna run away before decides to hammer us for spamming mindlessly...πŸ˜† Koi ni jee....ab toh permission mill chuki hai! No tension! :P πŸ˜†

My dad actually told me these lines, he says that India has its faults and issues as a nation but atleast we don't ACT as if we are the most fair and righteous country in the world, unlike some western countries who talk big about not being prejudiced and treating all equally and being fair but have all these very traits implicitly imbibed in their society.

Yeah, so true yaar! Your dad's so right there. Totally agree. You can't help get emotional/ feel pride for India despite everything. And we do have a lot to be proud of too aissi baat nahin hai! 😳 Yeah, as long as we have our head straight, and we're not delusional about our country I think we're still ok. :)

Definitely! These games might be remembered for all the wrong reasons but hell, ATLEAST they will be remembered...πŸ˜†
True that! πŸ˜† Remembered toh zaroor hongi! Reasons jo bhi hon! πŸ˜†

LOL Yeah it's Pallu. Pallavi actually, but kind of a pain to type the whole name. :P πŸ˜† So Pallu's fine! haha

And awww!! *blush*, that's so sweet. Thanks yaar! The feeling is mutual! πŸ€—

LOLLL at your questionnaire! haha yeah you must've been really excited to see a sholay scene then! πŸ˜†

I was pleasantly surprised by that scene too! lol I LOVE Suhana's randomness! πŸ˜†

But yeah, now you have your answer to question no. 2! :P πŸ˜†

Hmm....aww you've said that really well. Your last paragraph in blue I mean, and its got me thinking.

I agree with you in parts but not totally. I agree that IS should have this understanding, and yes Suhana should understand Ishaan and all.

But I think, (maybe this is what you're saying too, but I interpreted it wrong), I think I'd like Suhana to appreciate the fact that Ishaan sold something so important to him, for HER. And I did see moments of that in today's scene. Yes, I would like Suhana to realize that and have a greater regard for Ishaan that way.

But I think Suhana did show that today, in keeping with her character. She showed her affection fully today by hugging him, showing him how happy she was!

So I think she showed him that all he did, was worth it! You know what I mean? Like, it was WORTH selling the scooter! Like if we do something for someone, and they REALLY appreciate it, and you know you can SEE how happy you've made them, then it just make everything worth it doesn't it?

The way I see it, I liked Suhana's reactions to Ishaan's gesture alot. She's kind of GIVING him happiness in return for what he's done too! By being happy and celebrating this moment!

If she starts moping and sympathizing with him about the scooter, I think that would be worse. I actually LIKED the way they didn't make a big deal out of this. A simple moment between IS where Suhana appreciated Ishaan's gesture was enough I think.

I do agree with your words about love, and accepting someone in totality. But I don't really see the scooter thing as that big a deal also. I found it amusing actually the way Ishaan was freaking out seeing his scooter stuff being sold! LOL

I think Suhana appreciating Ishaan's gesture and being happy about what he's done for her is enough. That's all I expect her to do also.

But yeah, I'm with you about Suhana starting to understand Ishaan better. I would like to see such moments also. :)

Yeah pallu.... interesting once again ...i must say....πŸ˜†... agreed and understood your thots in that scooter issue.... i know i cannot see Suhana getting matured all of a sudden and saying some serious dialogue which def. as u said wud have lost the charm of the track which otherwise existed yest. as she was herself.... but u know i expected something like this ... there was a pause in her (agreed 100% correct..) then instead of she just ....good u did it..... they cud have shown.... some moistness in her eyes in that pause.... and moved on to ask Ishaan... "u sold it off to buy car.... just for me? " and then just hugged him. and then said good that he did it whatever....as she quickly moved on to saying it was good that he sold it off.... felt her too indifferent for the sweetest gesture he did for her.... as her self-realisation that she matters a lot to Ishaan is not striking her brain till now.... 😭
this way i thought atleast some feelings they cud have shown registering in her for Ishaan...!πŸ˜†

I agreed with Laxmii, they could use this situation in showing a little progress in suhana's deep feeling for ishaan which is so deep now that it has been hiddenπŸ˜†πŸ˜† and that's why she is unable to realize it .CV's can not show the sudden change, so after missing such a situation , they have to seek some other strong track to carry with this issue otherwise i loved the scene very much for its simplicity, i m waiting for today's episode as they may shown some scenes now as ishaan suhana are now alone, they must not miss this situation, wait and watch

Brushing problems under the carpet doesn't solve them. Yehi toh problem hai, in logon ko khaali duniya mein badnaami na ho iske liye "slums" hatwana hai, baaki apne desh ke logon ki kisko parwah?. Arey yaar, just build these poor people some accommodation and give them respite from living in filthy conditions...itna bhi nahi hota inn nikame ministers se? Nonsense! Yaar i swear, gyarah din mein games khatam ho jayenge aur aheletes bhi chale jayenge phir bhi in faltoo login ka last minute construction chalta hee rahega. Hopeless yaar! *shakes head*

But they still HAVE accomplished alot I gotta say actually. The Metro is AWESOME dude! I've been on it!! It's like the subway!!! It's air conditioned and everything...really clean too. I'd much rather take the Metro than travel by car in Delhi ANYDAY! So they've done an awesome job with some aspects!Really? Chalo bhai, kuch toh acha hua iss poori facade mein. :). I'm looking forward to seeing the metro when I go next time round, everyone seemed really enthusiastic about it when I went two years back. :)

And even when I was in India I did witness alot of preparation in terms of the environment too. Like encouraging people to stop littering, preserve the air, pollution etc. But yeah, can't deny the shortcomings too though. I guess it's a learning experience too. This sounds atleast positive for Delhi....its always been terrible in terms of air pollution and Im happy to know things have improved. I hope people aren't doing this just for now and will go back to old ways one the CWG are over. Its something very positive for the Delhi city and I hope it holds in the future as well.

The only thing though is that all this 'good stuff', only the rich or the middle class people will benefit. The poor will still be where they are. I wanna see the day when the poor also benefit from something in India! lol Tab baat banegi na! lol I know yaar. India is really plagued with poverty and it needs to emerge from that because it is a major drawback for the country...par iske liye our ministers/leaders have to do something about it. Bahar door desh se aane walon ke liye bahut kar liya iss games mein, ab apne desh walon ka bhi socho bhaiyya. :(

Yeah, so true yaar! Your dad's so right there. Totally agree. You can't help get emotional/ feel pride for India despite everything. And we do have a lot to be proud of too aissi baat nahin hai! Embarrassed Yeah, as long as we have our head straight, and we're not delusional about our country I think we're still ok. :) Exactly! Khaamiyan toh har kisi desh mein hoti hai so India is no different, but its just that we don't work to improve these shortcomings of ours whilst other countries do. Again i know everything is easier said than done par minor improvements karenge abhi toh hee toh jaakar aage kuch teekh hoga, par yeh log toh hilte hee nahi...yes, we're progressing to a large extent but as you said, benefits are only for the upper and middle class...lower class ke liye toh life is the same year after year. Pata nahi yaar yeh log kab sudhrenge. I'm proud to be Indian and I love my country but we really need to work towards a future that caters for not just certain groups of people but EVERYONE. Anyways,I'm optimistic about a brighter future for India...hum honge kaamyaab ek din...πŸ‘πŸΌ

@ Laxmi and Himanshu (right?): Ooo ok now I see what you guys are saying. πŸ˜†

I get what you mean by Suhana seeming 'indifferent'. Yeah I guess I interpreted it as Suhana as usual being random and not being able to hold on to one thought for long.

But yeah I see what you mean too, and it would've been more poignant had that moment been longer and Suhana would've felt more I agree.

I guess today's episode fixed that though no? After listening to all the family members' sentiments with the scooter, Suhana is realizing what it must've meant for Ishaan.

So it's exactly like you predicted! πŸ˜†

Yehi toh problem hai, in logon ko khaali duniya mein badnaami na ho iske liye "slums" hatwana hai, baaki apne desh ke logon ki kisko parwah?. Arey yaar, just build these poor people some accommodation and give them respite from living in filthy conditions...itna bhi nahi hota inn nikame ministers se? Nonsense! Yaar i swear, gyarah din mein games khatam ho jayenge aur aheletes bhi chale jayenge phir bhi in faltoo login ka last minute construction chalta hee rahega. Hopeless yaar! *shakes head*
Yeah, exactly! All this so called 'cleaning up' and all is only for dikhawa purposes only. Not for actually helping out the people living in those conditions purposes. But man, agar show off ke liye hi karna hai, phirbhi show off toh dhang se karo yaar! πŸ˜† Actually HAVE something to show off! lol
SO true about them doing their construction even after the games are over. Or worse would be going back to square one after the games. Hopefully that doesn't happen.

Really? Chalo bhai, kuch toh acha hua iss poori facade mein. :). I'm looking forward to seeing the metro when I go next time round, everyone seemed really enthusiastic about it when I went two years back. :)
Yeah, you HAVE to see the Metro if nothing else when you're in Delhi next! It's the coolest thing! πŸ˜† It doesn't even feel like you're in India when you're riding it, except of course you know for the fact that there are Indian people all around you, and that too a GAZILLION of them! πŸ˜† But it's really clean and nice...and when you step out of it you realize oh yeah I'm still in Delhi. πŸ˜† Hopefully it stays that way! :P πŸ˜†

Wow! This sounds atleast positive for Delhi....its always been terrible in terms of air pollution and Im happy to know things have improved. I hope people aren't doing this just for now and will go back to old ways one the CWG are over. Its something very positive for the Delhi city and I hope it holds in the future as well.
Yeah, the air pollution is alot better! *touchwood*. Obviously if you compare it to the west/other cleaner areas it's still not the best, but a LOT better compared to what it was before. The honking and all has also become a LOT lesser too! There are signs everywhere reminding people to honk less, stop noise pollution, littering, go green and all these things. So alot of positivity around as well. :)
But yeah hopefully it will last for the long term, much after CWG are over also.

I know yaar. :(
Yeah exactly, bahar walon ke liye toh they HAVE to do it, pride is at stake after all. But for your own country you need that inner sentiment and motivation. I don't see that changing for a long time yet, but hopefully one day.
Exactly!
So true yaar! Well said! I think the biggest problem in India is the lack of that community feeling. Or the feeling of doing something for the greater good of everyone instead of just thinking about your own good. That's why there's SO many societal pressures and stuff in India today because it's all just a race. People do whatever it takes to get ahead without caring about the consequence of how it affects others/ their own country in the long run. So until that is the general spirit, things will take forever to change. But I do think that people's mentality is changing these days, esp. with the educated people. People are more concerned with the common good of everyone with things like equality, environment, fairness, and all these values. So that does give hope to dream of a better future ahead for our country. And like you said, as long as we KNOW ki we're not perfect and don't just sit back and relax/ take whatever crap the government throws at us, there's reason to hope. :)

LOLLL I love how our discussion turned from SGP to CWG to the future of India. LOLL Awww I miss talking to you Sanuuu!! πŸ€—
