Suhana's Corner: My action packed week with my family | |||
Hey readers, it's been an eventful week for me. What from fulfilling Dadaji's wish, to going on a road trip and uniting Anu with the love of her life, it sure has been an action packed week for me. My week started off by trying to cheer dadaji's who was saddened by the demise of his close friend. When he expressed his wish to go on a scooter ride with Dadi, I knew it would make him happy if I could arrange for the same. However, Ishaan's lousy scooter broke down on the way, bringing their joy ride to a halt. I really need to talk to Ishaan about selling the thing. It's so old and rusted that it keeps breaking down. But it was nice to see dadaji and dadima look so happy. We were invited to go to one of Ishaan's wedding at Amroha, so all the elders decided that the young couples should attend the event. I was excited about the trip, as it was the first Kashyap family wedding that I was attending. Ishaan and I were then going to Mussourie for a couple of days after the wedding. We had a lovely time on the road trip. I rode a bullock cart, drew water out of a well, and ate sugarcane from a field. It was not something I had experienced before and it was a lot of fun. At Amroha I had a wonderful time interacting with all the relatives. They told me stories of Ishaan as a child and how he wet his bed. It was quite amusing and I can't wait to tease him when we go to Missourie. I learned that Ishaan was called Bholu, so I was named Bholu ki patni. There was a small problem about the sleeping arrangement. Since it was a wedding gathering, they had arranged for the women to sleep in a common room. When I learned that I have share the room with so many people my reaction was OMG. I was too uncomfortable so decided to tell Sumitra dadi that I want separate room to sleep in. But when I saw Rajni and Disha Bhabhi adjusting, just so they wouldn't cause any trouble for the hosts, I decided to do the same. I was feeling quite awkward, but adjusting with the surrounding was really a learning experience for me. People appreciate you a lot more and you learn the value of being a better person. Looking at Rajni and Disha bhabhi taught me a valuable lesson in humility. Sumitra dadi, who hosted us, was so humble and sweet as well. I met the Parekh family the next day. They are so funny and remind me so much of the Kashyaps in their sense of humour. Hansa and Praful Parekh were so sweet. I really liked the way Hansa bhabhi spoke to us. They had come to promote their latest film Khichadi The movie. I also enjoyed the Mehandi ceremony and danced with Rajni and Disha bhabhi. Even Sumitra dadi danced with us and I had really a great time with them. On the wedding day, I dressed up Anu and while dressing up I found Anu's letter and was really shocked to read its conten. I found out that Anu is in love with Mohit, Mahendra Jija's brother. I was really feeling sad for Anu and Mohit, and felt that they should get together. After all, you fall in love once. I didn't want that lovers to get separated and moreover it would have spoiled Anu's life as well. The same situation was in the film Hum Aapke Hain Kaun. I interrupted the wedding and gave the letter to Mahendra Jijaji and I was really happy when Mahendra jijaji blessed their relationship, and got Anu-Mohit married. Even Ishaan also supported me in my decision. I had a great week and I hope that Anu and Mohit have a happy life together. Right now Ishaan and I are on our way to Mussourie. Hope the good times continue. I will be back next week sharing my thoughts, experiences and also seeking your suggestions, if need be.
