In order to use an avi as your avatar, scroll over to the 'my dashboard' link on the top right hand corner of the screen...and it gives you a menu list....at the bottom of that is the 'update profile' option....click on that and then you will see 5 tabs on the top....'basic, contact details, about me' etc.....the last option is 'preferences'....click on that....and scroll to the bottom....you'll see a space for 'avatar link'.....now right click on the avi that you want to use and select 'copy image location' and then paste that into the 'avatar link' space under preferences...that should do the trick.

If you want to change your signature, then you can click on the 'signature' tab instead and paste the link of the signature you want to use and just add {img} and {/img} around it (replacing the curly brackets with square ones) and that should make your sig show up :-)
