Thanks for the update, Ronitfan. I wouldn't be surprised if Bhagwat is planning on taking the child away from Kritika.. thats why he killed Rishabh so that he won't intervene 😕

Sarrkkar – update for 25th October

Kritika goes to Rishabh & tries to make him get up. She tells him that she is pregnant & that he could not leave her alone. She is crying bitterly.

Bhagwat, "I had gone to Rishabh's room to give him the news that Kritika is pregnant & is coming to take him. When I entered I saw Rishabh hanging from the fan. If a son gets the chance to do the last rites he reaches heaven but here, a father has to perform the last rites of his son." And he also starts crying. Kritika gets up & shouts that he did not commit suicide, Bhagwat killed him. She blames him a lot…even Priyam blames him. Bhagwat is shocked.

At the cremation ground, Bhagwat is performing the last rites. He is about to give the mukhaagni when Kritika comes there with Priyam & Karan & stops him.

Kritika, "This is the pyre of my husband, not your son. You cannot even touch it. He committed suicide because of you. I will give him agni, not you."

Bhagwat, "Samdhanji, what is she saying? Women don't give agni. Panditji, tell her the tradition." The priest tells Kritika that by tradition, girls cannot give agni. Kritika flares back saying that she will not follow the tradition. In the end, it is Kritika who performs the rites.

Shweta is going for a party when Urvi stops her & says that their family is still in mourning so she should not be celebrating. But Shweta just insults her & leaves.

Kritika is sitting in her room; looking at Rishabh's photo & crying. She blames herself for his death. She feels that because he was all-alone with Bhagwat, he committed suicide. Priyam comes there & consoles her. She also says that when Vir died, I didn't even have time to grieve for him but Kritika should cry her heart out as it will help her lessens her sorrow.

Shweta is coming back from the party when Karan stop her & asks her where she had gone. She says that she had gone to the temple with her friends. But Urvi has already told him everything. Karan, "Bhabhi has already told me the truth. Even if you are not mourning with the family, at least wait before you start celebrating. If you don't have the brains to think, just listen to bhabhi." Shweta is very angry with Urvi.

Bhagwat comes to Priyam's farmhouse. Priyam asks him to get out but he says that he has come to take his heir. He says that till Kritika gives birth to his grandchild, she will stay with him. Kritika refuses & Bhagwat threatens Priyam & leaves.

At the breakfast table, Urvi & Shweta again have an argument over the food made. Shweta accuses Urvi of talking against her to Karan but Urvi says that she just said the truth because Karan asked her. Bharti bua comes in just then & sees them fighting. Urvi greets her & goes inside. Shweta also goes in to get breakfast for Bharti. Bharti is very happy to see them fighting.

I don't remember the last scene but it was again Kritika mourning about Rishabh. If anyone remembers, pl update it.

There were some things which I think the director overlooked.

Firstly, Hindu women do not go inside the shamshan bhoomi (cremation ground). Fine, Kritka came there to stop Bhagwat & PM accompanied her. But what abt the other females who were already present there? Bhagwat's sister & some others. Women are not even allowed to step inside, forget abt witnessing the last rites.

Also, Kritika was refering to the rites as 'aag dena' which is also wrong. Its called mukhaagni, which means that the fire is given to teh mouth o fthe deceased. But it sounds very odd to call it aag.

The director should look into these small things.

I think it was traditional for women to stay away from the shamshan bhoomi, but in most families now, it is not true. I have gone a couple of times and there were other women present. I really think we need to come out of archaic behaviours and move on - women no longer do what their mothers and grandmothers traditionally did.

Yeah true....women used to stay away from shamshan bhoomi...but we have seen lot of people go to the funeral...example...when indira gandhi died everyone from gandhi family were present..and the same happened when rajiv gandhi died....so may be people are taking to that and are going to the funeral.....
i myself feel that women should also go to the funeral as the men or women who died were a part of their lives too...my opinion...i know in my family they wont agree to it...
thank u for the update manasi!!!!

jeez..i just dont understand what bhagwat is after. do u think he killed Rishabh? poor Kritika, this is the 2nd time she has lost her husband.
PM does not suit in this role of only a mother, she should come back to being a CM...

thanks manasi. good that krittika performed last rites.

nowadays many hindu women go to 'shamshanbhoomi'. i remember seeing priyanka & sonia gandhi at rajiv gandhi's pyre. as for that 'mukhagni' thing (i didn't know it was said that) in most movies they say 'chita ko aag dena'. so may be they just followed that.
