'Why?' - SaMud Poem

You broke my dreams of love,

You wounded my heart,

You scratched my heart,

Then why are you healing

My wounds now?

You filled my eyes

With love and happiness,

But you snatched

Them from my eyes,

And filled them

With grief and agony.

Now when my eyes get hurt

By painful tears,

Why are you trying

To wipe them away

With a smiling face

On your hand?

Now also why do your eyes

Depict love?

When I was with you,

You left me alone.

When I am away from you,

Why are you with me?

What kind of love is this?

I cannot hate you

Though you hurt me,

But I have killed my happiness,

So even my love is so helpless

That the barrier between us

Can never be broken.
