As the journey ends, let's look back and share some good memories. All these off-screen segments and interviews are getting too much. I mean to say it's making us emotional. So let's celebrate the highs.

Post your favorite scene

1. from the show

2. of Saras n Kumud

3. Of GR

4. Of Jen

will post mine later.

That's really difficult to chose Santhi!
All the above are so mixed up. But my Favourite scene for its impact was the odhni scene, when he promises to return and colour her odhni,

Fav Saras and Kumud scene - the matka making scene at night, the atta romance

Fav Gautam scene - so many, his scenes with Danny, his cute fights with Kumud, his scenes with Mai, Basically whenever he smiles.

Fav Jen scene - she is so powerful in emotional scenes, so when I think back i remember the scenes that I hated the most, Saras's shradh and when she begged him to marry kusum, when he phoned and called off the wedding.

But of course I loved the Kumud of early days, I think Jen was too good in those scenes.

My favorite scene of Saras n Kumud:

1. The scene when Saras is upset with Kumud as she is about to leave on her Chandni-bazaar mission.

2. The scenes near the clothesline where he implores her to marry him. And later waits for her in the stormy night.

3. Their wedding scene(s).

4. Pot-making episodes.

5. Kumud gets hurt and Saras tends to her by putting her leg on her lap(initial days).

And many more...

Favorite GR scene:

When Saras breaks down in front of kumud due to danny and later with Dugba.

Saras comes back to give Odhni to Kumud.

When he brings the box of samples after hiding them from Kalika. And when Kumud gets upset at keeping them tensed, he just apologizes!!!

And many more...

Favorite Jen scene:

When she complains to pigeons about Saras.

When she and Sunny talk to each other about handling Saras and then pretend something else when he sees them.

Holi scenes

When she teaches kite-flying to Saras without showing her face.

She just aced those initial episodes. And many more...

Yes, we are nearing the climax of our journey with SC. After a long time we are also getting offscreen segments and interviews. I only caught GR interview due to time constraints. And what a real gentleman of complete integrity! I'll definitely miss watching him on screen as the one and only saraswathichandra.

It is a very difficult task to choose favourite scenes from the old version of SC since most of them are special and still treasured. Almost all samud scenes till karwachowth. In fact that entire phase boasted offbeat love story, creative vision, wonderful craft, subtlety, and sophistication.

Mainly scenes involving yatinji&jen, gumaan&dugba, kumari&danny, saras&sunny and kumud&sunny and LN-saras poignant reconciliation scenes. Early days of RN had a touch of flavour and ehsaas associated with it.

If we recall some vivid memories of samud;

When saras saw kumud's face for the first time (what a magic and visual appeal the scene oozed)

Scintillating atta romance

The whole of pot making sequence

The gratifying samud moment before ila bhen's house and the one during that stormy night

The entire sejal wedding sequence (however the genda-pool that followed was imo a debacle of the skilled SLB team. Neither aesthetically pleasing or sensuous nor passionate)

All samud moments near the pool were heavenly

The initial phase was light and breezy with enough drama it geared up for a fast paced story post kumud marriage. The Pramad phase was equally engaging and impactful under a different and a credible setting. All characters were compelling and well-etched. Spl mention to Pramad who brilliantly played such a repulsive, monstrous character with conviction. Most of the scenes in the 1st half of Pramad phase struck a right emotional chord with the audience. The phase explored another facet of saras and kumud and their performances were remarkable. Spl mention to all saras-alak scenes (what a feminist and perfectly grey shaded character she was). The later part of this phase was gradually diluted and I didn't like pramad's 'resurrection' in kumud's house. To me the most striking scene of Pramad phase was the glorious inferno scene where Pramad was attempting to set kumud on fire. The way it was conceived and enacted was outstanding. The apt buildup, use of the fire motif, the symbolism attached to it, GR and JW ' S breathtaking act etc. The fire burned away her illusions of Pramad and purified and strengthened samud love. (Alas, pretty soon she went back to square one).

In the Kusum track the samud scene where saras firmly told kumud that no one can separate them, be it Pramad or Kusum while they were lost in each other. The lovely romantic moment they shared in dadaji's house and the entire fun-filled sequence before their wedding are noteworthy.

After the marriage the couple were deprived of their charm and sizzling chemistry and some of poignant samud moments post wedding phase :

The shot yet cute scene of kumud sitting in front of dressing table , saras looking adoringly at her puts sindhoor and they had a private moment.

The sweet, touching samud scene where kumud shared her insecurities and saras lovingly reassured her just before Mumbai trip (front/back hugs, air/hair kisses etc).

Mumbai darshan was refreshing and painted them in the best light.

The balcony scene under the stars was dreamy and dialogues were poignant.

The recent samudicious episode just before the 'crane' mishap.

Saras scenes : There are innumerable key scenes of saras and impossible to list them.

Saras as a passionate lover in all the mesmerising romantic scenes of the good old days.

Personal trauma of saras (talab scene where he was tricked by kumud, the scene after that 'kerchief' game, explosive dubai saras - LN scene)

The emotionally charged scenes when confronted with Pramad and kumud and especially walking on the fire scene.

A broken saras in saras-danny scene.

The recent saras-SM encounter.

Kumud scenes :

Early days of kumud when she was a cheerful, sharp and a vibrant personality.

Video conferencing scene

When she defended VC opposing LN and saras

When for the first time she wore a saree gifted by saras (the beautiful visages)

My most favourite scene of Jen till date is the high voltage emotional scene when saras called off the marriage. She was beyond brilliance.

The scenes in the initial stage in pramad's house where she challenged Pramad and kalika and confronted saras

The recent pregnancy track in which kumud of old is restored to a substantial degree.

Over the course of time kumud was constantly deprived of her distinctive personality traits and ultimately transformed into the actress herself at the hands of current cvs. Too much of loosening up of saras and the writers going easy on his attributes butchered his original characterization. Since their relationship too was mishandled in a cliched manner many of their scenes turned monotonous and amateur in the recent past.

Thanks ARshi and lal04.
@lal04 --- I was pressed for time but I wanted to write that scene too. It was superb acting by Jen when Kumud runs to take Saras's call and hears a no. And how she deals with the aftermath. Beyond brilliance. Jen is a natural. She doesnt need to work hard.

And GR excelled in that Saras-SM milan scene. And in all the scenes after he rescues Kumud. How Saras teaches her kite-flying, how he goes to the market to convince her to change the decision, how he stands by her when she is demoralized.

Thanks guys. Keep it coming. We can discuss back n forth. One last time!!!

Favourite scene in the show- the wedding, especially the scene when Saras and Kumud were walking around the fire. The way they were looking at each other still gives me goosebumps. I have watched many wedding rituals in desi soaps, but this one is the most beautifully picturized.

Fav Saras Kumud scene - the kite flying scene, and after when Saras was chasing Kumud and saw her face for the first time. Time completely stopped for them and for me when they were staring into each other's eyes.

Fav Saras scene- hmm...this is really tough. When Saras told Kumud that he loves her and he can't marry kusum as he only treats her as a little sister. When Saras felt guilty upon seeing Kumud drunk as Pramad had forced her to drink. And last night's scene where he resolved to support Kumud through her pregnancy. All very touching scenes.

Fav Kumud scene - when she had an emotional breakdown when Saras told her on the phone that he would not be marrying her. First class acting👏

Saras-Kumud scenes : when Kumud goes to see Saras for the first time, her expression when she sees his face in the mirror. And his expression when he wakes up and see her asleep near him.
Kumud applying haldi to Saras. Pot making scenes. fruit feeding scene at Dadaji's house, atta romance, Saras explaining why he is not meant for Kusum, wedding scenes, fire rescue.

GR: fallout with LN, during Holi when he makes up with Danny, seeing Kumud drunk, after fire rescue and he leaves - his scene with Dugba. Sindoor scene at Dadaji's house, when Kumud does not divorce Pramad.

JW : video conference (her attitude), break down after Saras calls off wedding, when she does Saras shraadh, complaining to kabootar about Saras.

There are many more, but these scenes I might have seen several times over and over again.

For the show forgot to mention l liked the intro of Saras and Kumud, the Dubai party and the haveli pond etc..

There's no beginning and no end to this list...
Here's my first list 😉

Not following your template, Santhi, but randomly...Many of them are almost wordless scenes where Gautam Rode (and Jennifer) aced it.

1. In the beginning, the Videoconference scene where she makes him sit up (literally and figuratively)!

2. Kumud applying lep on Saras' hand after he draws water from the well

3. Saras walking straight to Kumud the morning after his dog&bone breakdown - he looked every inch as vulnerable as someone who has just been through trauma.

4. Saras' first proposal at Sejal's wedding

5. The kuldevi pooja scene where they meet for the first time after Kumud is married to Pramaad -

6. The scene where she writes that poem and he finds her sleeping next to it... (there ws a pic of Damayanti with swan on the wall in this scene) In original Nala Damayanti story, Nala abandons Damayanti in the forest while she is sleeping because he believes she will be better off without him.. Parallels, parallels!! The sameday's scene where Saras is outside talking to the moon!!

7. Appu mentioned this one already - when Saras wants to leave VC's house after he rescued Kumud from the fire and got her home- Saras-scene with Mai - he completely loses it when Mai says she made his fav food for him to take away...

8. The sindoor-wala scene where he says Kumud should tell everyone he belongs to her and nobody else... (She Never did that, did she?)

9. The pheras sequence from their wedding... and that moti making its appearance...
