Thank you dear, for being a part of CB.
I infact felt that this was more controlled than the talab scene.
This was one rare day, when it's difficult to find fault, not only was gauti spot on, both Jen and Maleeka matched him so appropriately.

PS: I'll be looking for Saras-Saraswati/Gautam-Maleeka scenes from now on. GR has stiff competition here. And they share great chemistry.

I don't understand the words, would anyone be able to translate it for me?

Arshicsji, welcome back, missed your bytes a lot on the forum. Let me confess first. This week I watched only 3 episodes including the last one. The episode in itself was great barring the initial few minutes. We fans have already learned not to expect any form of romance from our leads who have actually gone beyond the superficial displays of love!! In the last episode let the logic, sense, story be damned for one sole reason, GR's portrayal. The whole of it was heart-warming as well as heart-wrenching. He understood the importance and value of the scene despite its faulty premise and played it to perfection. The scene extracted stellar performances from GR and JW. We could witness GR's superlative performance and Jen's convincing and committed act after a long time. Both Jen and kumud offered unstinting support for their respective counterparts. The actress gave a restrained performance. Kumud too was overcome by emotion, but was attempting to control her emotions. So it was a fine balance between them. She reciprocated his feelings when he tried to find solace in her and lovingly reassured him with a warm, genuine hug and kind words. GR usually acts his heart out on these occasions. Romance and emotional confrontations are always his forte. Once again he displayed his excellence and prowess as an actor. He aced all the nuances and his strong reactions and instinctive responses were spot on. The actor is always hungry for his due. When he is given the meat that matches his calibre his work clearly demonstrates why he was the clear choice to play the iconic character. Another impressive element was the FB scenes that played out concurrently when saras took every step forward so as to near his mom (his pain, uncertainty, turmoil were palpable) which reminded of the similar significant FB scenes when saras wandered through the streets of RN. The lead actors can lift the game and be formidable opponents against each other if the setting is not contrived. Unfortunately they are stuck in a rut due to the shoddy writing. The actress playing saraswathima was an apt choice and her character in FB portions personified poise and elegance. Although her character is represented as a bad stereotype thankfully she doesn't go overboard with her acting. This emotionally charged scene was handled well and was given the rightful treatment, time and pacing. More than the writing it was the direction and execution that clicked well. The overall effect was poignant. When gumaan and kumud came to know of saraswathi's survival it should have been the shock of their life, but they didn't exhibit it that way. The scenes of kumud experiencing shock, distress and torments were not effectively captured. Again her decision of not telling saras and family is unwarranted. All the moves made by gumaan are total logic ki vaat. In spite of being a prisoner she strolls around, gets things done. Her motives are vague and feeble (saas-bahu issues affecting samud?). I wonder why the current cvs crank out such weak and unworthy antagonists. Also I am curious to see one more important face-off between saraswathima and her another 'lost and found son' which would provide the much needed lighter moments for forumwasis.

However, this plot and fabrication is quite unacceptable to me on any account. I believe 1 or 2 good episodes can not alleviate the overall damage. The cvs segued from 'plotless' Mumbai drama to amnesia comedy. Our eco-conscious creatives who constantly adopt 'recycle and reuse' concept now face a severe dearth of story ideas. They have already exhausted all their techniques in separation, obsession, crime, new characters and their obligatory love stories and even the ideas to create conflicts between the leads. So they want to adhere to the source now and meddle with it, twist the epic characters to bring about irrational storylines and fabricated drama. The resurgence of the late saraswathi is far more offensive than the return of gumaan (the former - an onslaught on our wisdom and the latter - onslaught on our senses). Saraswathi's demise was the crux of saraswathichandra's story and an integral part on which his complete persona and traits were built. It is in many ways analogous to his life, i.e his dard, ehsaas, his spiritual pursuit, his fragile relationship with his dad and it ultimately wreaked havoc on kumud's life which led to the 'Pramad' phase in the story. Saraswathi sought death of her own volition. Gumaan exploited the opportunity to her own advantage and married LN who was worthless then. So there are no grounds for her evil deeds as framed by our cvs. Saraswathi's body was not found and the issue was not dealt with thereafter. The cvs are milking the story for every possible drop of senseless, illogical drama. Gumaan, a ruthless manipulator was turned into an absolute devilish monster up to most heinous crimes. This conveniently allows LN to remain a victim and as an innocent and guiltless character. By incorporating this twist the writers demean the relationship of saras and his mother which was immensely valued and respected by saras. They need not tamper with the original script which they discarded in all respects long ago, with no disrespect to the classic novel and no further mishandling the key characters. We can only hope that the show comes to an end with this track. Anyways, it would be just a happy ending, not a dignified ending. Thank you ji, for your apt and wonderful bytes.

A wonderful post from you Lal04, that so beautifully describes all that many of us have been feeling about this current track. The episode yesterday was just an appreciation of the way the CVs got last nights act right. And of Gautam who fully justified all the fan furore over his leaving the show.

It's episodes like this one that validate the respect and admiration that Gautam commands from his fans.

And also this is the reason why he must continue to be a part of the show which otherwise has lost all sense and meaning. Because he can still make us believe in Saras and in the ongoing plot and events.

The ease with which the writers are so dismissive of individual actions and behavior, and choose to pin everything on Guman is ridiculous, because at the end of the day, LN, kabir and anushka must be made to pay for their choices.

Saras still bears the cross for having let Kumud down badly once, and till today, his excessive love and protectiveness comes across as his way of atonement.

But kabir, who has been guilty of worse, I.e. Almost killing his father, and conspiring against his half brother, and all manner of crimes, is so unforgiving of anushka is really senseless.

He, of all the people, should know of the compulsions that drive people to hurt others that they love.

She atleast has the excuse of having done it to save her brother, he chose a very gruesome way to hurt his dad, out of vengeance .

But, then kabir is the most shoddily written character, inserted in the story in a haste, and even the actor hasn't been able to make kabir credible or love able in anyway. So, his and anushkas story is just a filler.

But yes, the reunion of kabir and Saraswati ma will provide some comic relief, where the wooden ashish tries to emote.

I am sorry, I should've remembered the bytes are a collective post. I was just fed up of the nonsense being shown and so decided to take a few days off.

I don't know Jyo, ke aise performances milenge ya nahi

Once ma is shifted from this pagalkhana to Desai pagalkhana, pata nahi what we will get

Also we will see more and more of Guman now. The focus will again shift to detectivegiri, bombs, guns etc.

My expectations are not too high, I think yesterday was just a one off day.
