I started watching SC with a clean slate, having little or no experience of TV soaps...

When I started, I had no idea about either of the leads or any of the other cast.

After watching 400 episodes, I am entitled to whatever opinions I have formed as a viewer with no axe to grind.

As long as I'm not abusive or offensive I am entitled to express my views here whether or not they match with yours.

People who have watched earlier shows of Jen have different views from us SC-only viewers here who have no carry-over adulation...I totally understand that...

The best way of dealing with this is to stay out of threads that leave a "bad taste"...

Ganging up and invading a thread only to complain and moan about personal differences of opinion is pretty juvenile.

I totally agree. We are/were passionate about the show. We speak primarily as viewers first n along the journey many of us have become GR admirers. People are jumping in only to defend someone or point out something? They don't care much about the show.

Everyone is entitled to form opinions based on their experience.

Ok, we seem to be having an open war on bytes today.

I agree, of late we do have a lot of problems with Kumud and by association with Jen too

And I also agree, that bytes have become Gautam appreciation posts

All of you Reemz, Ank, you have stopped posting here, leaving the field free for team gauti

( and I count myself in team gauti)

But let's be fair here, and let's not get personal with each other

And let's not generalize, we never did on bytes

And I won't let it happen now

Why the people here crib about Jen

1. Too many leaves of absence

2. The character of Kumud has been butchered beyond recognition

3. A lot of off screen negative buzz that surrounds her commitment to the show and becomes a topic of discussion

4. All these are areas that are relevant to this show and this story, and hence will be discussed

5. Different people have different styles of commenting , and hence sometimes these comments take the tone of anger, sometimes jibes, or sarcasm , or just plain criticism

6. No one and I repeat NO ONE at the bytes has ever commented on Jen beyond what is relevant to the show,.

7. Please do counter these points and do it in your own style, but do it directly. for ex, shrija made a comment she addressed Rimuila by name and me by name, I would want you Rimuila to directly talk to shrija if that comment hurt you, and this sort of indirect ridicule will NOT be acceptable on bytes. We have never done it, and it won't be done now.

8. Also when we talk about Jen, we talk about Jen, counter the arguments on these points only, let us debate on these things within the rules of respectable conversation.

9. I am extremely upset by the discussions on bytes today

10. Please find relevant points to criticize Gautam or Saras within the realm of the show and no one will bash you, and you will be heard.

11. We always had debates within the limits of discussion and THIS WILL NOT CHNAGE

12. We can pull each other's legs, we can tease each other a bit, carry on some side convos, but all within a limit

13. PLEASE FOLLOW THIS CODE WHEN YOU COMMENT ON THE BYTES

14. I am sorry Reemz, that you posted here after so long, yet it turned so bitter

15.can I request you Ank, and Rimulia, to make direct posts defending Kumud Or Jen Or criticising Gautam or Saras and not made generalized snide remarks are people here

16. We have only a few days left on this forum, max a week, maybe not even that, let's not stop the healthy rivalry and camaraderie with which we have always followed the bytes

17. It may sound mean, but the truth of the matter is that soon the forum will be left clear for Jen fans, all of us are packing our bags and going anyway

18. Till then, let's live together with respect and let's fight fairly and in fun, not like this

19. This is the only thread where the show is discussed, let it not become a dirty battle field

20 say your points in a firm, straight and direct manner. Address the person you have a problem with directly and by name only.

OK I would have completely refuted your every argument in the other thread had I not seen you spew venom about GR in those TB articles. I normally tend to ignore hecklers as they waste my time and energy, and that's a personal preference. I guess that's that.😳

I don't know why you are talking in plurals because there's only one GR article I have ever commented & I don't think I have spewed venom in it .. sarcastic might be but not abusive ! Also no matter how much you guys accuse me of being abusive you know too all I said there was true & what I really felt .

Ah, how convenient it is for you to have a mod who's a fan of a certain couple whose name can't be taken on this forum. Of course, your comments which took death-defying leaps over manners have been dutifully discarded on time by the esteemed madame mod.

@Bold: Relax, sweetheart. I am not a drama queen, I'm simply high spirited when the situation requires it. I assure you, you'll be the first one to know when I secure an acting gig after all this practice. But when I see people who try to invade a thread where their presence is not required unless they have something logical and meaningful to say,who make a mess out of it by indulging in belligerent trolling, I tend to forgo my policies. We all do have to make exceptions in our lives when the situation requires it, don't we?
