Impending death of the show - SC without Saras?

On one side there are these stories of Saras dying in the show thereby putting an end to his character. On another side we have GR saying on record that he is not quitting. On the third side, we have these dialogues/scenes where people talk about Saras's safety as if giving indications of something happening to him(which is ok but not his death).

Lot has been said already on the forum. But would want to re-phrase the same.

There is no show without 'Saras' the character. The end of his character means the end of the show for many fans. If GR is not quitting and Saras is dying which may imply among many things GR coming in as someone else(son/look alike), that is not acceptable to many too. The character of 'Saras' is the heart and soul of this eponymous show. I am sure I'm speaking for many of us here.

The ph n channel might have their own economic considerations in keeping this show alive. We all understand that. But its on ventilator already. To revive it, killing Saras is not the way. Its like pulling off the oxygen mask.

Until recently we were worried if they even consummated their marriage. And now he is dying. Wo saath the ki vaadein, woh u mar bhar ka saath?

You said it perfectly Santhi. The show has to have Gautam as Saras only. A look alike of Saras is NOT Saras, it's another person with a resemblance to Saras, and Kumud CANNOT be with anyone else, just because cvs have no dimaag and no creativity, and just want to repeat a hackneyed formula.

If Saras dies, then it's the death of the show for me too. Permanently and completely. The TRP audience who only want a tried and tested formula,and don't really care about story, plot and characters, can continue to enjoy it.

Well said Santhi. The show can not go on without Gautam just as much as this show cannot go on without Saras. I fear they will keep us in suspense and we will forever be wondering if the look alike is Saras or is saras alive or not?

This is going to be the worst track till date. Hope they have some sense and don't bring all this utter rubbish. saras doesn't need to die...amnesia track chalega pls!
