Sorry Arshicsji, I'm not in a position to comment on the episode, in fact haven't seen it yet. Just now checked-in and I could not trust my own eyes and at a loss for words. This is the worst rumour or reporting we've ever read about our already controversy-ridden show, again from an unreliable 'source'. To whomsoever it may concern : it is height of idiocy, lunacy and irresponsibility. This piece of news carries a streak of sadism. If the news turns out false (desperately hoping), then it goes to show that this is obviously done for grabbing attention and gaining trps (!) or is it the type of journalism which uses eye-catching headlines for bizarre purposes. However if it is true it again proves how incorrigible, insensible and insensitive SP and the makers of the show are towards the loyal fans. We all know the show is already distorted and decimated beyond recognition. Some of us strongly feel that it is about the right time for the show to end on a high note and also wish the leads better career prospects. The story has run its course and what is the need to prolong it further senselessly and endlessly by way of killing the hero, and once again proceeding on the cliched route taken by daily soaps. Instead, they can very well adopt the cliched approach of ending the show with 'samud lived happily ever after' which would be most welcome by fans. We can as well look forward to our favourite stars' future endeavours. The news itself is quite unclear and uncertain and confusing too. It says following the death of hero they are looking for a new replacement - for the 'one and only' saras or GR? or Are they planning to run the show without the absolutely one of a kind saras character? Both ways it may turn fatal. The makers or the people at the helm of things conveniently forget that saras is the eponymous character and he can not perish and also the fact that no other actor can be brought-in as a worthy substitute for GR who has made a tremendous mark and won laurels for his brilliant portrayal. Not just GR, the jodi of GR and JW is unparalleled and irreplaceable. Although the tv shows have become hugely commercial and purely a number game the makers must understand that they can't achieve their 'objective ' by these proposed methods (in case true). They must also take into account the true feelings, sentiments, wishes and priorities of the loyal fans. The only factor that is still binding the show and the loyal audience together is its hero with his sincerity and dedication and we the fans, continue to watch the show only to get a daily dose of our favourite jodi despite the crap being served. The people in-charge should realise that both GR and samud are indispensable for SC. GR who has given his all for this role is also answerable in a way because we too have devoted our precious time and energy to this show over a long period albeit the thoroughly dissatisfying content. At least he must put the rumours to rest by coming up with his statement for the sake of his fans. We can only hope and pray for a decent closure.
Very well said Lal! Only one point I want to add to this, and in this i do seem to have a different view point. It's a repeat of IPKKND all over again!
And it's the channel and the PH to be blamed for this. You know a love story has to be a finite term show! You can not build up lovers like Saras Kumud or Arnav Khushi and then not have happily ever after end.
In this setup where the show is made to go on, even after the leads have nothing much to do, except to be there, they have lost the plot, and have no conviction in what they do, there are other meatier roles waiting for them ,luring them, and they have the talent and potential and the hunger to do good work.
It's their profession, and just like a true professional if a job does not give you the thrill and joy you look for and does not give you the opportunity to give your best, you need to move on!
So can't blame GR for looking for other shows, for either his present bosses ( the channel and PH) give him a role that does justice to his talent, or he must move on, else he will be trapped in show that's going nowhere!
The man has worked far too hard to get where he is, and he must continue to reinvent himself and do newer and newer roles and not become limited to being a pretty face!
So I don't think he needs to go on with this drivel, he has it in him to transform a paper character and bring him to life, he has the talent and the passion to perform and creativity. He also has the hunger and drive for more and more! Age is not on his side, time is running out, and he must go out and hunt for bigger and better roles. I think if he has signed on a show, then as an actor the show obviously must have a promise and he would be getting something that matches his calibre!
I think when an actor moves on because a role no longer excites him, he is being loyal to fans, because his fans always want him to do more and more, better and better and he cannot do that if the story doesn't give him that opportunity !
