Arshi,
Very rarely does a person gets no real pleasure when saying "I told you so".
This is one of the times.
As I predicted yesterday, this is going down a bad copy of Unlawful Entry...what a waste.
And the frigging Creatives can't even copy a concept decently...
What made Unlawful Entry a fascinating watch was...
(i) along with the Cape Fear remake, it created the stalker genre in cinema.
(ii) the mind games and fight is directly between the hero and villian...with the hero's wife largely unaware of the primal nature of the conflict unfolding right in front of her eyes.
(ii) it is an uneven fight as the stalker is more powerful than the husband...and as the conflict escalates, he systematically abuses his power and the system to further harm the husband.
(iii) the wife is never ever shown as blindly trusting the stalker and taking sides.
(iv) the husband is initially limited in his defense because he is a decent man and wants be be 'lawfully' right, while the stalker though officially an upholder of law breaks all laws...only when the situation goes desperate and the danger to his wife's safety very real does the husband finally breaks the rules & decency which had bound him earlier.
(v) ultimately it takes the combined resourcs of both husband and wife working together to defeat the stalker.
Now,
If all of the above could happen in a 2 hour movie...considering each epi has saras-kumud seg of 10 minutes (the other 10 being the RN circus)...we could still have a taut story-line in 12 epis!!
And yet we get this drivel...
I mean...sad story treatment aside...even Saras aggression was frigging TRP - like and plastic.
You mentioned Ehsaas...
...and I was transported back to the scene from the the Golden Age, where Saras beats up a few people on the road for daring to just comment / look lewdly at Kumud's dress and the events leading to the rain dance.
...or the scene where Saras is jealous of the dandia guy paired with Kumud...I mean even a jealous saras (dandia guy had no bad intent towards kumud) portrayed the male aggession when the male notices his mate being noticed by other males with such reality, poignancy, love, fear of losing the mate and 'I will destroy you for your temerity' emotions masterfully!
