Luka chuppi metaphor was so good and apt.
Maker sankranti - follows solar calendar and is celebrated when sun enters Capricorn or maker rashi. So it always falls on 13,14, or 15th of Jan. To my knowledge it has no connection to push purnima. But it's definitely one of the most auspicious days along with diwali n vijaya dashami.
you are right Santhi ...paush purnima is the last full moon of winter makar sakaranti falls around 14,15 n purnima almost towards the end of Jan but at times on the 16 of Jan ... hence the full moon n lotus in full bloom ...also a day for holy dip in the sangam of ganga ,yamuna n mystical Saraswati...Saras' saraswati jheel scene just followed the first sighting😳
now it fits even more beautifully
the end of paush ...considered an inauspicious month for all festivities ,marriages
the month of magha follows ,,,spring time ...basant ...time to fall in love
