If she made the decision for her family like she says then it's correct na? Then why need saras? To get a nod? If family is so important then she took a right decision. His presence is not needed. But this is poor writing. I didn't even feel she did it for kumud. Didnt come across like that.

Santhi, you had predicted on Friday that she will refuse the divorce

And that happened

I felt it was great writing

After a long time we had an episode where nothing was spelled out

And we have to dive into the mind of kumud sundari

And try to figure out why

In that split second she did that

She was alone in that courtroom

Cornered by him

It all rested on her

Divorce him and come out feeling selfish

And risk his vengeance again

Or bide her time till he dies ?

A tough call

You could see that she didn't think it through

Knowing Kumud she will take ownership

And say that she made the choice herself

Knowing Kumud, she will blame Saras for not being there

Because, it's true, she needs him around at these crucial moments

She makes horrible choices on her own

Also played out dukhbas dialogue - for others happiness she becomes her own enemy - promise me you will be around her to stop her from doing that

He wasn't around, once again he was hasty

And removed himself from the scene

Yes, after all the trauma she's gone through, she's been behaving in such a starkly contrasted way of her former self. But that doesn't mean she was handicapped or to quote your 'cornered' by Pramad. She herself pronounced him as 'dokebaaz' some time back. This is just shitty writing again and again and again. I watched the episode. Acting was great. And that's about the only thing that stands out in every episode of SC anyway.

Edit: This is coming from a once upon a time huge Kumud proponent.
