@ Arshi ji, awesome bytes today! šŸ‘ so sorry for interfering with my nonsense in today's Sapney Bytes in advance. 😳
I would like to elaborate upon something Anette ji touched today. (the above, brilliant post ^) When it was high time for Kumud to stand up to Gumaan, it was DB who was really retaliating back for her... and when the time came for her to face Pramad, she let Saras do most of the work... starting from him cheering her on in the background to demand her rights, to helping her leave the Dharamdhakari household.
I'm seeing a pattern in her behaviour. She is undoubtedly good at applying knowledge for the greater good of people she doesn't know (from brilliantly standing up to ridiculous religious taboos, to teaching children morality) but unfortunately, she doesn't seem to be able to make the connection of her own situation and pointing out what's wrong. And I think she's unaware of this, which is what was making Saras suffer...

I wouldn't call Kumud self-sacrificing, because she's not. She just foolishly "allows her destiny" to take control of her life instead of herself. She doesn't actually choose to see to the good of others to the extent of her own happiness like Saras. And I think, based on how the CVs are writing (they must have taken one or two literature classes at least, right?!) I think it's important to note that she just shoves the control of her life to the idea of destiny... It really contrasts with the "strong woman" idea, but also brings out a sad reality: that many just aren't up for actually CHOOSING the path their life takes, which in consequence (although Kumud is lucky, she has Saras 24/7) really messes up their lives.

I think if Kumud actually had this ability to be self-confident instead of have that pyaara ghamand we all adored at the beginning of the show, she might have actually been able to stand up to Guman and in turn, Pramad (since the story had to follow with his character.) I would really be interested in a track where she actually DID this properly.. albeit divorce or otherwise 😊

Not at all Veera, its always a pleasure to read your thoughts and thank you for bringing this to notice.

I could connect to this so well. I know so many Kumud's - girls who are strong, bold, ready to take on the world, yet dramatically opposite when it comes to their own lives, their own MILs, and families.

There they use a completely different yardstick and hate to assert themselves, for tis how "good" girls in India are brought up, anything that rocks the family equation is a taboo.

look at Dukhba herself, she can say anything to Guman, but nothing at all to Khoti Kaki, no one stands up to her and says shutup.

Or Dukhba, while Kumud was with Pramaad, stepped back and did not intervene.

So what Kumud does is what commonly happens, for to break the family protocol is a serious crime in Indian families till today.

Sorry friends. I felt that Saras lalkaar raha thaa. That was poor direction. He went and teased Pramad.
Vidyachatur apologized again for marrying her to Pramad without finding out.
Pramad's words were a little scary. The ones about film, hero and heroine were funny.
Kumud said, "tum tho meri baat bina bole hi maan jaate ho".And Saras had to stop his chuckle. But, I got worried. Is it a sign of things to come?
So Pramad goes scott free by burning factories and all.No complaints against him
Precap: Saras and Kumud feel they have a haq to realize each other's dream. And give reasons. Loved it. Waise, Saras does not know that she is doing it for him? He will be in a puddle of gratitude for her when he knows.

sorry Santhi if this has been commented on..I am just making my way through CB.
@ bold...The trying to stop a chuckle seemed pretty intentional to me...what Kumud said...that would make you laugh if directed at you! I can see the humour in it! She didn't say it out of spite or to want to argue..It kinda just came out that well yeah def you can be in my class..you're a good boy!! that kinda thing!
the way she said it then realised what she said...I think that was a nice moment between them where one person then later feels a little foolish about what they blurted out!

Wonder why Kumari was so rude to Danny today? After all he has done for the family, she couldnt make him a snack? What about Desais' claims of how well they look after their guests?

Few questions if someone can clarify please, I may have missed it -

Where is Saras arranging for money to pay advance for the land?

Where is he getting money from to pay rent and monthly expenses?

He sold his land to save the haveli, didnt take anything from LN when he left and possibly was not paid much at BD's.

They showed a shot of a hotel and later mentioned Vyas brothers are renting. I am a little confused and a bit curious.😃

LN, Guman are not curious about Danny whereabouts? Does Danny know why Saras left the house and what his mom did pre and post her marriage to LN?

as goes for all serials...'leave your brain behind!! or make something up to make it believeable so these things don't bug you and ruin it for you!!
Kumari's attitude- I think that wasn't her being rude but teasing him and her roothna cos he came saying he has got 'HER' a present and then turns out it was something for him and so he just wanted her to do something for him hence kinda lied abt being a present for her!
Saras's paisa - I like to think of it as he may have had his own investments and he doesn't consider that as LN's as its his hard work that he put into the business..so he thinks of it as his salary for all these years! Couldn't free the house from that money kyunki VC would never agree! OR perhaps he did get paid that well by BD!
or if you want the brutal truth...Serial mein when hero needs the money...they just appear out of magic!! (kaash reality mein aisa hota!!!!! šŸ˜†)
Hotel/rented house ki gadbad was a huge faux par! think of it as ek din they stayed at hotel and next day they renting! paisa growing ghar ke bhageeche mein!!!! šŸ˜›
I assumed Danny knows everything which is the reason why he is here and hence has left his parents behind! and disowned his mum.
Its a shame they couldn't show the scenes but lagtaa hai Gumaan and LN ko paise nahin mile and now they have moved on to other things!!!

Stay happy with the Saras-Kumud relationship thats developing.

To enjoy SC nowadays, we need to keep the brain aside, and just listen to the heart ! And Saras- and Kumud manage to make the heart sing ! 😊

Very fitting bytes Arshi. last few episodes have been 'feel good' episodes- with more stress on emotions than any thought provoking story or logic.

sorry for high-jacking the episode analysis bytes but i have few Qs on the current state of our SaMud and need guidance from you folks, to understand them better..

Recently we have been witnessing Kumud's open admiration for Saras. Most of the forum thinks she needs Saras as her support system, more than him as her lover.

Kumud is completely aware of the effect she has on him, his undying love for her and his unwillingness to move on with his life with someone else.

With this background, when she exerts her haqq on Saras and explicitly asks him to stay back so that she can start her life afresh, what is her thought behind it?

Does she really expect Saras to be there for her as she restarts her life, help her to settle fine and then simply leave?

Definitely she knows better.. more he stays around her, more difficult it will be for him to move away from her.

So somewhere down her heart she does expect him back in her life as her life companion. Just that her present state of mind does not allow her to think about it in open... is that so?

I wonder what will be Saras manodasha at this point?

Doesn't he ever think about himself? Why has she asked me to stay back..' does this thought never cross his mind? If it does, what would be the answer? Why does he express that surprised expression every time she admires him?

Every single time I see Saras cutie face full of surprise at kumud's remarks (and if I am able to look past SaMud), I get these Qs.. So finally posting on the forum, trying to get some answers.

Yes, even I often wonder, loving her so wholeheartedly as he does, what would be Saras's manodasha? I also wonder how the union will take place. This time maybe Kumud will have to take several steps towards Saras, for him to even consider a future. Knowing him as she does, one can only be hopeful that Kumud intends giving her life a second chance (as Dugba said) with Saras, after the divorce. Hoping that logic exists in the CVs mind 😊
