Now coming to today's episode, I am glad she left the house. SD, as useless, hopeless as always...she is the root cause of Pramad's behaviour. How come BD didn't call cops and got Pramad arrested?

Me confuse too, if Panditji Hint is Saras and Kumud will be together...how come this whole Pramad sudharo stuff? How come just seeing bank statement, Pramad has change of heart? He hated Kumud not because he wants to be with Kalika. Even if Kalika cheated him...what has this to do with getting Kumud back in his life...so either there is something big twist on its way...or CVs lost it completely.

Loved precap though..but I am not keeping high hopes.

The whole logic is twisted. What he did to Kumud must be judged irrespective of kalika. For having an extra marital affair is one thing, but physical, verbal abuse is another.

Nothing ever justifies the latter, to link the two is to justify pramaad's behavior, and NOTHING EVER JUSTIFIES ABUSE.

And Kumud must not return, just because his eyes are open to kalika.

In a marriage, there will be hazar crisis situations big and small, hundreds of times when a couple will be opposite sides of an issue, an abusive person will always resort to violence when things do not go acc to his/her wishes.

So, the real issue is his violent streak and not his affair with kalika.

That's why I had sd, I hate the whole premise of pramaad sudhar, and the whole kalika ki galti track.

All those are justifying abuse and violence and almost rape, which is incorrect.

G'day Arshi! 😃 Thank you for the BB (Bidaai Bytes) today... I'm happy that all the alphabets are being finally used thanks to this very versatile 'entertainment' the show has become... 😳

I haven't watched and don't plan to, but reading your BB and other members generous insights, the key-frickin-word returns to be 'contrived'... Seems like today's epi too demands a fair bit of suspension of disbelief... Though I genuinely wonder at Saras today... You've witnessed the brutality, you've seen the bruises, you've seen Kumud begging and fearful that if there is a next time her honor will most probably be looted. But still you go ahead and posture in front of Pramad... That dude you gonna regret letting her go... Headdesk. Why Saras? Why were you channelling Julius Caesar today? The newest track, as per promos, comes across as very chauvinistic too... Two men, one woman... But for Pramad, Kumud is a prize to be snatched from Navin. Women as 'commodity' next? Pathetic. I just have my fingers crossed that Saras walks out and does not engage in Pramad's dirty games, that he never considers Kumud a 'prize'... Not as a 'thing' to validate his manhood. I have full faith in Saras, but not on the CV's. Nor on StarPlus.

Arshi, it also got me thinking, coupled with all the mandir and Saras-Kumud as one 'markers' shown today... Before, Kumud had the option, if anything happens, I will walk-out, go home. But after coming back with Pramad, wouldn't that option be effectively off-the-table also? Kumud will never go to add upon burden so the only option remaining for Kumud would be Saras... Or Pramad? Otherwise, why show, apart from giving 'Nayi Soch' lip-service, that Kumud walks out but comes back under duress? Or maybe the third option, that will be hinted tomorrow, as per spoilers... I will go somewhere else... Sundergiri? Is phase three on the near horizon? If per spoilers, Saras leaves, and once he does, gullible Kumud would make sure Pramad gets back his inheritance, Kalika comes back to expose, and Kumud is kicked out... Then they meet somewhere again? But spoilers are indicating something else altogether... I still feel CV's are winging it. That their grand plan is that there is no plan.

Which brings me to a third point. Now, lest I generalise, let me use my own folks as an example... They watch a lot of western television shows... And they make it a point to watch it on the time it is telecasted, to the best of their efforts... No recording, FFing for them. One thing, I've noticed with them, is they detest and resist being told about the plot in advance... A thirty second pre-cap is more than enough to ensure they would tune back in next day/next week. Research shows that a very significant portion of audience still watch telly this way... They want their television to be 'immediate'... Not of the future, nor in the past. They watch one episode and are content with that only, until the next is telecasted/recasted. TV schedule dictates their schedule, rather than the opp. Passive viewers.

Now, the majority of the mass/TVT targeted audience would fall under this category. In addition to pre-caps... They get blurbs in newpapers highlighting the highpoints of the next episode and they get (if they care to watch) SBS/SBB segments to bring a little extra to the shows and the thirty second promos, which reveal some, conceal some... But this in no way, tells them in great detail of what is coming next. They still retain and relish that element of anticipation and surprise. Which brings me to us, the Internet and the hybrid Internet/TV audience... For us, weekly spoilers, usually released the friday of each ending week... Kills the plotline intrigue to a good extent. We already know the high-points for five days in advance. In fact, at this very time, we apparently seem to have our hands on the spoilers for the next two weeks... Coupled with the promo. And all the rest that the TVT audience gets when the time is right.

I dunno why Arshi, but I feel with this upcoming track, the makers are doing a bit of market research on us, the majority of whom watch on Internet and do no harm or good to their TVT's. A 'leak' is usually a strategic, calculative tool and to release two weeks worth, wherein the promo, the episodes and the spoilers all seem to contradict each other on the finer points - where in the larger scheme of the promo, would the rumored shraad fit? Will Kumud actually complete ceremony and release Saras so that he leaves? Or would like the last promo, where Kalika finds out about Saras, this Pramad goody-two-shoes track will be over in a matter of a week too? CV's are trying to read our pulse, that is what I am suspecting. I may be wrong, but the larger more positive point here is that we should keep voicing our disapproval and displeasure with what is being shown, very clearly, lest we are indeed being kept tabs on. Let our 'voice' not die down =)

P.S. I wondered if you would like to continue yesterday's discussion in tandem too... A fair bit of questions, I've got, but your thread, your call, Arshi ji 😳

the idea of a woman can take care of herself does not sit well with the writers...some semblence of dependency on or need for a man always present ...a woman kicks ass in her ethical resolve and takes the better moral path over and over again while men doing all the dirty stuff...

I have not seen this epi...but out of curiosity saw the previous epi...

Agree with Ivy that it is contrived...

Maha confused today...😕😕
Maybe because I have not seen most of the previous 10 odd epis properly...missed most & seen some basis your Bytes in FF mode..

But I just can't place kumud and her atmasamman logic at this stage...

1) Take all off the bruises / blood / limping etc. shown in the previous epi...
Apparently she sobs and cries making it out as if Pramad has beaten her up...
But if you see the epi...ALL of it is due to her hysterics...falling down, running away etc. etc. when Pramad tried to get physical with her...All the injuries are due to her panic running away actions...

This time Pramad did not hit her or anything.
Why is that point not being clarified?

2) I do not in anyway justify the attempted marital rape connotation or DV which gets shown on SP.

But come on...
a) On one hand she says I want to make the marriage work, saras get out, kalika get out etc.
Now a marriage is going to involve sharing a physical relationship with Pramad...
This is an arranged marriage...she went into it with her eyes open and that she does not now have the liberty of falling in love with him, creating the emotional connect and then starting a physical relationship...

b) And on the other hand each time Pramad tries to get physical she runs away / tries to run away...Then at that stage she wants a meeting of minds / emotional bonding first...

NOW
For emotional bonding to work, each time Pramad says something she gets into either her teacher mode and starts lecturing & hectoring Or gets into a mouse mode...For her to achieve her objective of (a) and/or (b) shouldn't she be attempting to reach out...what is her strategy? Nothing!

As if Pramad will wake up one day and start loving her!

And then she resents Pramad and Kalika's physical relationship?

I am with Kalika on this...What is Kumud offering to Pramad as an alternative to Kalika? Nothing!!!!
...Neither a beginning of a physical relationship (Pramad - Kalila relationship is largely this)...
...Nor any sort of emotional / mental relationship (irrespective of Kalika's intent, from Pramad's perspective Kalika is offerign this in loads & loads) or attempts to build emotional relationship...
...Most of the time she is looking down on him...turning her nose up on Pramad...

How can she demand equality when she herself is not providing the same to Pramad or even trying to?

So what is her definiition of atmasamman? How does that come in the way?

Why in the name of God does she not state the thing upfront?

1) THAT she is in love with Saras still...despite all the crap starting with Saras and all her high brow logic.
2) THAT is why beginning a physical relationship with another person is utterly revolting to her...screw all the DV / marital rape thing...even if Pramad was the most gentle person she would still feel revolted.
3) THAT is why no one measure up or ever will against Saras...and why she lectures or looks down.
4) THAT it is Heart over Mind. Game over.
5) F*** all the other reasons...
6) She will seperate from Pramad...

This will make all the 4 people (good or bad) suffering due to her shitty logic most happy!

and most of all...Her!!

So all this atmasamman mumbo - jumbo is just that...utter crap and trying to force-fit another set of high brow sounding words into the narrative..

..She is reacting the way only because her love still survives!...

...She had conveniently junked all this atmasamman crap...
...In fact had gone & drowned it with her own hands (VC public insult, gau hatya partnership at the risk of family prestige, ghar ka mortgage fight, him rejecting her, Guman taunts, virginity etc.) when she started falling and fell for Saras earlier anyway...
..and continues to drown it even now when Saras is living a lie at her in-laws!

So why the frigging sanctimonius hypocricy now in Pramad's name!

Hgg bhai... I noticed that you used a few words that I had used for Kumud previous, mainly hypocrisy and sanctimonious... Good to know we're on the same page 😃

I think Kumud is confused as to what aatma sammaan actually means... Kumud wants to have her cake (Pramad), eat it too (marriage), without getting her hands dirty (letting Pramad in, emotionally, mentally etc... Or even on a base human level)... Pramad is a prize. Kumud haar nahin sakti. End off.

Agree most heartedly with all your points, neither do I condone ANY of Pramad's action's but after Kumud's utterly preachy act to Kalika... I'm questioning her locus standi on frickin' everything.

Please walk out Saras, and she will run after... 😳

BUT

Sad to see how Kumud's character has been mangled, twisted, shined to TVT perfection... 😭

well pramad kumud are two opposite personalities who can never be happy together

kumud can never be kalika ...she can never give herself just like that...for her love and respect comes first and then physical relationships ...while pramad is still a ruthless caveman

she gave in to saras only when he wooed her though she loved him since she never even saw him ...so is with pramad...she knows she has to give herself to him ...but she wont till she gets her share of respect and love ...pramad has to woo her ...show that he respects her , show that she does mean something in his life...and then the lady will give herself

kumud knows pramad does not love or respect her but she still was their coz she did want to give up so easily ,she did her best in her own style to change pramaad and clean the trash out of his life ...but as it is said few animals do like smelly shit around ...so does pramaad as it makes him feel at home ...while kumud ji always needs jesmine and genda phool around ...lol

so either kumud learn to be comfertable in a shit or go home and make genda phool maala for her saras ...which she at last decided to...lol

even in future track what we see s pramad changing to woo kumud and so kumud though baffled will now surely give herself

So all i wanted to say in my aforesaid kumud chalisa was that Kumud is a lady in making who needs to wooed and not some side trash who entertains

Saras like men respect such woman as they find them classy and pramad like men trash such woman as they find them worthless and unreachable
