I have nothing more to add ji, your post is perfect. 👏
Thank you so much for your input!

Vee... First of all, I adore your disclaimer ☺️

Please listen and you will hear me shout out a resounding YES to all the points you've so intelligently made... You killed it 👏 👏 👏 👏

Kumud's not an equal, and she will never be content with being equal even, Kumud wants to be the victor, the conqueror, Julius Caesar, with the same amount of bloodbath, regardless of how many casualties fall. The most revolting part is that she is being a hypocrite about it.

Winning is all that matters to her, as she said to Saras, almost in a disbelieving tone: Tum chahate ho ki main haar jaaon? Kumud has to win, over Kalika, win Pramad, win Saras' support and devotion, win SD maiyya's allegiance...

Trust me, she is never the one to waste time calculating the cost of her win. Nah, Kumudsundari has her eye on the prize and right now, Prize=Positive Piyyakkad Pakau Pramad. Jeet ki chaaha mein andhi aur in the coming episodes, behri and maha-bewakoof bane gi woh.

You just wrote more than I could ever have in one post, Ivy ji! You and Tomo... same to same mentality 👏 👏 👏 👏

And all this being called feminism? It's an insult to it's conceptualization. 😡

One of the reasons I had trouble watching Pratigya was because of the continual abuses on the character Kesar by her husband Shakti.

I'm in America and there are still so many problems with domestic abuse. It is looked down on, but it is also hard to get out of for many.

I'm Oglala, Lakota, Native American Indian, and on the reservation that I grew up on, the domestic violence on women is very similar to what women in India are dealing with, and women being seen as 2nd class citizens.

In our belief, women are supposed to be revered, and people say that Native American tribes are matriarchal but in so many ways they are not.

With all of our issues here, men become abusers due to how they were raised, poverty, and/or alcohol and drug abuse.

Sorry to ramble on!

Tabatha ji, I am so sorry to hear about the abuses you've come across. Indeed, being Canadian, I've grown up learning about the tortures Aboriginal Peoples have gone through, and I must say, the way so very many in your community still live with their heads held high despite their circumstances 👏👏👏

Indeed. If women keep allowing these tortures to happen to them, the sad reality is that they continue to get worse and worse. Over top of this, Kumud is being hypocritical about her own situation. She wants to win Pramad, but will do nothing to show him she cares about him. Because she doesn't. So what's the point of all this, I don't even know.

And that only makes Prammy lash out more. Because yet again he has another expectation, another challenger in his way. It's so sad how we, as viewers, have figured Prammy out, and even sympathize with him, and Kumi can't even do that. 😕

Thanks so much for your input. It's so very humbling for me to read your experiences of a different culture, and you're so close to home for me.🤗

It is indeed an insult to feminism, Vee... The founding Mothers must be turning in their grave

P.S. Finally Tony and I reach the same page... Oh wait, she was already there 😳

At least the Harvard boy should have known the supremely positive impact of psychotherapy/rehab on extremely depressed/alcoholic patients. Removing Kalika has only exacerbated the already messy situation for Kumud. Just mere wishful thinking with zero steps taken towards what you want to achieve hasn't helped anyone, anywhere, anytime.

thank you so much! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so 😊

Exactly, ji. Wohi ghisse pite formulae: pati ko sudhaaro pyaar se. Agar koi pyaar naa ho relationship mein toh kya takraahat se sudhar jaayega?
Even in the Taming of the Shrew, there was a hidden element of love between Kathy and Petruchio despite all their thod-phodh sudhaaro-fy. In the end, the shrew, Kathy, was tamed by a simple gesture of support from her husband.

So what did Kumud do to show Prammy she supports him, since she's so adamant on following this Mummy formula? She had plenty of opportunity. Just because he's sarcastic and rude, doesn't mean she has to do the same back. How does that help her situation?

Along with Tripathi ji. I don't apologize, but I really don't find any excuse for Kumud's behaviour anymore. It's a naya soch wala show, meaning there should be naayi soch. Kahaan woh purane formulae that never work. She dug her grave not when she married the man, but when she decided she would force change upon him, She took the wrong approach, and now she has to lay in it.
