I have to say your username gave me cause for doubt that I will be subjected to a ranting but I was pleasantly surprised at the way you worded out things. Fans like you give me hope.
Okay, you do know Jennifer from way back and you feel that nothing much has changed? I respect that because you have the benefit of hindsight. But to be really honest with you, before watching that SBS photoshoot segment, I did hold Jennifer in a relatively high regard as an actress but as a person she came across to me as dull and boring. She was missing that spark. There was that old, weary, maturity to her that just did not appeal to me. Like she was just jaded by life. Then I watched that segment and I was left dumbstruck because that Jennifer I was seeing for the first time. There was a brilliant spark, a verve to her which was very appealing. I honestly dunno how many times I've replayed that video. That proves to me, that Jennifer is capable of bringing that spark into her off-screen interviews as well, and I don't only mean with Gautam. She can bring a bit of life when she talks about her show, I want to see the excitement on her face when she talks about Kumud and about Saraswatichandra. Because she is certainly capable of delivering that, but chooses not to and I cannot help but wonder why. Instances like these only give credibility to those propesterous rumors swirling about. I'm not pointing fingers at anyone but I strongly believe that something is amiss. Jennifer is alternately too restrained and too wound-up. I would like to see more of that girl in the photoshoot video. Like I've said before, such a beautiful smile Jenny, why don't you flaunt it more often? I sure hope that in the coming days she does cause I would love to see that girl again and again. I've already demarcated her as "Jennifer Winget" as opposed to "Mrs. Grover"... It may sound a bit too extreme but I am still trying very hard to like her and haven't given hope on that yet.
Now I am sorry for being blunt with this and I hope you will appreciate my honesty, but the way Mr and Mrs Grover act, it is not cute at all. I understand it may be cute for their fans, but the whole world is not their fan. The majority viewers of SC are not their fans. And okay her husband might be saying the same about her, but in his words and actions, there is a balance. He does not have any issues with his co-star and Jennifer too is very supportive of not just him, but his entire show. Sadly, Grover does not reciprocate that. On the other hand, Jennifer has become, and this is strictly my opinion, too one-dimensional. I regret to say she has just reduced herself to a better-half and that is heartbreaking to watch.
Lastly, media follows the Grover's ONLY because they can't stop talking about it - in an incredibly sensational way. Maybe they are courting publicity or maybe they do it for the fans, I dunno, but sometimes it just makes you wonder just what are they out to prove? Can I also say that your maturity encouraged me to be more forthright on this issue than I normally would have. Here's hoping that wasn't a foolish move from my side! =)
