Re: Arshi's questioning (yesterday?) of the Saras-Gumaan relationship, I think that has been better delineated than her other facets. Having been at the receiving end as a child, Saras probably knows as much as anyone about her fakeness. At every possible juncture, CV's have shown the diametrically opposite way in which he interacts with Dugba (and more recently, Guniyal) whom he recognises as mother-figures in the same mould as Saraswati; and then the way he behaves with Gumaan, full of correctness but cold through and through... If you remember, for LN's birthday party in Dubai, he went out of his way to wear a different suit from the one Gumaan chose for him. It was as if the CV's wanted to rub it in...😆
Now that he's broken free of the isolation Gumaan placed him in by withholding love and warmth, I dont know how charitably he will behave towards her in future... Saras seems to be too evolved a character to harbour grievances and pettiness. I think he will always show her the minimum external courtesy due to her position, so long as she does not cross the line like when she did with that remark about Kumud being "a-pavitra", and he showed her her place!

Knowledge is power and that seems to be Guman's strength. She is a news hound, follows the scent and has no scruples about using/ abusing what she digs up.

It's not that she is at the right place (or wrong place ) at the right time, she keeps her eyes and ears open and makes sure that she goes to the right place at the right time!

If you see, Dugba has had the same clues about Kumari that Guman has, even more, but she chose to not follow through, and Guman did.

She also seems to be very good at planting doubts in people's minds.

As for Guman Saras relationship, @bold, seems to be the way he will react to her. Good analysis

-...saras is deeply gng mad about kumud absence...which shows how much he love her...😊...gautam was brillant n last 2 epi...

- yup...kumari is also misled n confused n rightly said pitaah ke pyaar mein pagal...( due to absence of his dad...)

- ghumann...there 2 sides of every coin...so if she is totall trp vamp..then other side of her is that mother who love her danny...again reminds me epic ramayana scene..not comparing but somewhat similar( bharat - ram n kekai..)

- i'm sure kumari will come 2 know abt all this trap of chulbul n shas rai...

n i also believe her affair with that chulbul iwont last...when she 'll come 2 face truth...cv's need 2 brng +ve track over instead of making drama /trp abt it...n thn dhukhba n her kumari may once bond strong togehter with no MU...lived happly everafter...( really want this 2 happen...)

- now this danny...does he have any imp n novel????? ppl r discussng n that he is parllel lead😕...well have 2 wait...but yeh ho kya raha...we already have parallel story gong n the show...

- lastly what i belive cv's actully did good with d character of khoti kaki..makng it sound funny...at end of day khoti kaki n yash r part of family... dnt have any idea ki novel mein yeh -ve hai ya +ve..coz i cant see them 2 turning up totally -ve just coz of this ghumann storm entered...(waise bhi ghumann now has chulbul n sahas rai...)

Curious, is she returning with sound of tinkles, en moment, as Saras striving his mind to present task of Puja after a great wait and finding himself alone?... She arrives at last moment...Later, there may be rain scenes...monsoon has broached over Mumbai with vigour of a new season...

Khoti kaki as a character is there in the story, but her name (in the show, her name I think has not been disclosed yet) and nature are different , same with gyan chatur and Chandrika.

We are lucky to have smrth on CB, because not only has he read the original but also has a lot of passion and love for Literature in general and SC in particular.

So, we get a lot of first hand info on parallels / digressions from the original work.

I was also planning to ask him about Danny.

Edited to add- the only time LN made a remark that you could see as critical of Gumaan was when he told VC that although his house in Dubai ws enormous, he had not been able to build a "real" family... damning as you can get when the woman in charge is his own wifey dear!

@ bold - I thought they showed him softening towards her a bit after the midnight confession, ex - the date episode where I felt he was more concerned than he should be about Guman. The way he stood up for her when Guman called Kumud apavirta was a relief to watch.

The Dubai episodes barely last a week but even then I felt Saras was less indifferent, more courteous with Guman since she arrived in Ratnanagari. Though he did remark Guman would create a scene if he didn't acquiesce.

@ blue- back to our question - when did LN meet Guman, why did he marry her, is he so blinded by her beauty that he can not see how fake, materialistic, selfish and vindictive she is? But glad LN realized Guman was not able to build a real family. That was momentous.

Just curious - Saras was so loving and caring with Danny despite his fears about attachments and relationships. 😕

General question - When are they changing the montage? With the change in the relationship by now the montage should have changed to Samud in a romantic pose😃

Just curious - Saras was so loving and caring with Danny despite his fears about attachments and relationships. 😕 Every child comes into the world with so much love to give, (not cold and correct!) Danny may have been the only outlet available for young Saras!

General question - When are they changing the montage? With the change in the relationship by now the montage should have changed to Samud in a romantic pose😃

@ bold - yup - thats what I wrote in a post couple days back. Saras genuinely loves his step sibling despite his step mom's behaviour towards him. He showered Danny with the love and affection he did not receive from LN and step mom. Dikra is not one to hold grudges or bitterness. Still the thought came to mind due to his fears and inhibitions about relationships as portrayed by CVs. But then one might wonder about his closeness with Sunny too. Or am I being too critical😳

Interesting point Nandy, let me try some amateur psychoanalysis here,

I think Sunny and Danny have been his childhood friends, always been there, no barriers , expectations and pressures,

It's barriers in relationships that dikra probably can't surmount, doesn't know how to deal with rejection, won't demand or expect anything from anyone in relationships,

Probably sunny as a friend who has always been around and Danny as the baby, who like you pointed, Saras has showered all his love on and received love from have been a natural part of his life and not somethings that he had to go out and seek, or being judged, cold shouldered or rejected by

That he is capable of love was seen very early on the way he reacted to Dugba and VC, just would not make the first move.

Falling in love and getting married would be terrifying seeing his mother's life and his experience with his stepmom.

If you see, his rejection was to the ishq wala love and not to any other kind of love

Maybe he felt scared of consciously accepting a love where his emotional investment will be high and hence pain of break up much much higher

I hope it makes sense
