Maybe its a man thing

Samarth had written something like that, about men not being able to handle this very well.

I dont know, i am not upset, just havent been able to figure it out

kaadal...
..its a male thing... its not about possessiveness due to lack of trust in your partner or insecurity at all...saras tells kumud that he trusts her completely...
its about signaling to other guys that i am with her and she's with me and that's that and everything else none of your business!...its actually about not trusting the other guys who are getting friendly with your girl...
...and kumud understood this in those fab 3 lines saras said...and loved him more for that i think..

Lets talk about the sindoor on her forehead. Totally unexpected. I am in shock and dont know what to make of it. Is SLB reassuring some of us? Dare I hope and dream? Haila.

To be honest, the Radha-Krishna parallels drawn here make me uncomfortable on many levels. SO as usual, I draw conclusions that make me happy. I like it here in my bubble.

@ all three points above..agree completely...

I agree that today was the reverse tutorial as explained in your post...

I felt a lot of today's Saras behaviour was very old-fashioned! I think SLB is doing mix and match with Saras' character. One day he is a modern guy, the next he is wanting to stamp his name on Kumud in mehendi and declare he cannot stand her dancing with another guy. Not withstanding hotdogg's staunch defence, that smells of mothballs😕

Somehow the mehendi/sindoor scene is so stereotypical, even Samud couldnt inject a lot of magic into it! I think the CV's managed to flummox most viewers with the unexpected ending leaving us wondering at what next??

Isnt Srinathji the fav god of Gujarat? I have yet to visit a Gujarati's house that does not have him somewhere around. So quite logical the Desai ghar-ka-mandir would have him. Maybe we should not read too much dark symbolism into that... SP has a greater god...TRP maiyya ki jai ho! 😆

..i have learnt from experience that CVs take 1-2 extra epi to close the loop satisfactorily after particularly confounding epis...so hoping next epi will help resolve the sindoor...
..till then I will go with arshi's explanation...they became a couple in mind & soul today as if sanctioned thorough the purity of a marriage...in her mind she accepted herself as his life partner / his wife...the sindoor is the symbolism of the completion of this transition in her core and that it is an irreversible transition...nothing will change this state of hers...a gandharva marriage...this is as close they will get to a real marriage if the SC story has to be followed...so whereever he or she will be she will first and foremost be his wife & partner...
..on the krishna - radha image...which is different than srinathji's which in turn is almost always only shrinathji...i am going with the symbolism that krishna - radha was a divine love and both blessed kumud after she made her transition as above...
...about saras behaviour...ever wonder how wedding rings originated? ...the practice originated because of some of the concepts I have highlighted in my defense...it was a signaling mechanism...the violence promised to others under the practice later got subsumed to represent pure peaceful love..
...so what can I say?... no further defense by me on this forum...😊

Thanks @hotdogg. Saw the episode again and after reading all the post I understand. His actions and his words that he trusts her more than him were quite contradictory but I understand his possessiveness as a male. I was angry at the way he reacted to her, switching back and forth of emotions but reading Samarth's post I agree he had got upset seeing her teasing when he had fallen whereas a moment back he had been extremely sensitive to her. And then seeing her dance so vibrantly with another guy flared it up. I loved the way he told Sunny he knows Kumud well. My anger cooled and now I am back to where we parked our hypothesis, maybe Saras might turn to be the "dark horse", who knows 😉

And you know Kaadal, on top if it, she was telling him, " Bachpan se mujhe pasand karta thaa."😡🤢
Why should he not dislike?! miss K Sundari did you forget that other day you too were anxious about his Girlfriends- in that riot thrust Godown."😕

Samarth, I agree but now she understands him and trusts him with any girls. He also should but like you said before for him it is not easy to accept, I understand. His actions felt like he didn't trust her but got cleared by the lines at the end.

"Kumud tum meri ho sirf meri".. who writes these scenes. A bow to Jenny & GR and finally this week we are seeing SLB's touch as well. He really does know how to bring a flair to romance.

The sindoor and mehndi were not any signs of foreshadowing. They are now married to each other by mind & soul. Nothing is going to change that, not even her 'real' marriage with Pramad. She is his and he is hers.

Saras' possessiveness should never ever go away. His vulnerability makes his love even more passionate. The way he shut the door on her and told her to leave...ouch! Such a stab in the heart SLB couple they are. They both hurt & ache for each other.

Running short on words.

@Kaadal, kajen,

My reading is a bit different here

He wasnt ruling her, if you see that scene and preceding scene again, its not about mistrusting her

or doubting her love, its just about his putting his stamp on her, letting her and hopefully later, the

world know that she is his and his alone

I dont think it makes her weaker, he is not choking her off just making a very forceful declaration of his feelings

suggest you refer to the previous epi CB post, where @kaadal & I have parked a hypothesis regarding who loves more and how it changes the person who loves more..
might help throw light on why kumud is changing..

So, is it that becos she loves him more, she will surrender more of herself to him? Becos surrender was one of things that came to mind, yet her joy at his masterful declaration was so surprising to see, esp after yestarday
