Kumud is perhaps the only different female lead portrayed in a hindi soap to work for a living. I mean seriously how many women are shown to actually have a job? Not many at all.

well pointed👏

Kumud is my favorite character too.

yes Im one of Jennifers ardent fans from her previous shows and tend to be biased towards her and her character more often than not. but The character and the portrayal give all the reasons for the inclination. Kumud is certainly a strong female lead and as you pointed out is relatable and inspirational at the same time. The most endearing part, for me, is that she is treated and in fact is no less than the son for her father and the house. A level headed (and at times hot headed) lady with vintage charm makes me swoon over her and Im a girl. Again my liking for Jen is enforced by Kumud and vice versa.

@bold

So true!

No regressive or cringe worthy things portrayed!

Agree !! 👍🏼

I would say that kumud's character is one of the revolutionary characters in Indian television. Kumud symbolizes an aspiring lady who cares for her kith and kin, earns for her family, educates children. Not often you can see such type of bold women characters in Indian television. Most of the Indian soaps used to come up with stereotypical female leads. But the trend is changing nowadays. I'm happy that my fav show is also one among such shows !! We must appreciate SLB and the CV's for portraying kumud in a very inspiring manner !!
Love you kumud !!! ❤️

Well said!

Definitely a turning point for television (or so i really hope.)

agreed! i haven't ever really like an indian television character before either, they're usually too unrealistic, whiny, OTT and demanding
but kumud is seriously so different from that typical character sketch.
she's bold, outgoing, realistic, strong, independent, yet rooted.

nice post btw😊
