Dialogues - 10/10, what beautiful lines we had today -

BTW - can I get a high five here? Kumud was not envious but extremely secure of their love. Kumud with her upbringing is a more secure and confident person than Saras. She understands her dobo and his innocence really well too. He needs more time, love and patience to get to where Kumud is emotionally. His aggression by the pool surprised me a bit though. Today he got confirmation that Kumud always loved him despite his rejection, shattering of her dreams and heart.

Beautiful post and that song describes Kumud perfectly. The author wrote a beautiful character in his novel and Jen essays a never before seen character on Indian telly amazingly well. Old world romance, passion, intensity all tastefully portrayed, Gautam and Jen mindblowing as always, no Guman, Dukhba showing affection to Kumari - what an episode❤️

It really feels good to watch Samud smile and laugh together more so maybe because we know it is short lived.

Is TFC on the check list of 10 ways to increase TRPs? Not needed here in SC.

Did they have to show Guman in the precap?🤢 They brought us crashing down after atta romance so now a part of me is dreading tomorrow.

Kusum calling Saras bhai is not enough to allay my apprehensions. In Gujrat, adding a bhai or ben to someone's name is adding a tittle just like Mr or Ms. It does not necessarily mean you consider them bhai or ben. Samarth can explain this better than I can. 😃 😳

I purposefully avoided visiting the forum today or commenting on any post..coz whatever spare time I got , I din't want to, for the first time, write or analyse anything ..just wanted to soak in the beauty of the episode as much as I could.. but these lines here by Smrth, again so beautifully worded, got me all excited to say something.. She indeed soothed him, pacified him, and freed him of all his perturbations with such calmness and patience ...like a mother would soothe her perplexed child.. Vintage Bhansali romance..The gratitude in his eyes when she empties her hand to wear the bangles from him was so beautifully portrayed..The kiss on her wrist looked like he worshipped her..I don't know what element of romance is this..but it brings tears to my eyes.. the scene ending with her teasing him with the compliment and then splashing water playfully both laughing, was like a happy ending to short story in itself...it felt that complete..

WOW, arshi, you outdid yourself today. I fell in love with your post, now going back to re-watch with "new" eyes!

p.s. What I saw with my "old" eyes, was a serene Kumud who has not drastically changed her character because she fell in love, and a vaguely irritating Saras who has had a personality make-over since he confessed! I liked the old, serious-wala Saras; this new guy was behaving like a love-sick puppy...😆 who needs cuddles all the time... Even given how beautiful a pair they are, there is only so much lovey-dovey one can watch before one starts missing ... Gumaan!! AND sure enough there she was, in the pre cap.. Was actually happy to see her...What's the world coming to??😉

As much discussed before their confession they are opposite personalities because of the family environments in which each grew up. Even after they are in love, and Saras patchup with his dad, that mismatch continues to dog them, making them react to each circumstance in opposite ways...hmmm... Interesting!

lovely epi & perfect summary...

One query... you mentioned one of the fab dialogues

I trust you meant 'chabi' (imprint) rather than 'chavi' (key). Coz what kumud is saying is that his imprint on her heart and soul is not a fragile as a reflection on the water, but more permanent.

loved the CVs for pulling surprises... from yesterday's epi I thought her's was an act and she will return the jealousy bit in spades to saras today... however this was much more satisfying..

I feel happy because:

- their love is evolving to 'pakka' from 'kaccha'.

- as people have discussed here, saras love is more of an impatient / impulsive child who has suddenly discovered a new thing of joy and wants it all the time and for his exclusive consideration...but at least its now out there in his consciousness.

- kumud's is the more stable, mature, all encompassing love. Loved her serenity & sureness.

I am feeling melancholy because:

- I see that the seeds of destruction precisely in this mismatch between the perception / treatment of their love for each other.

- I think it was Preity Zinta the actress who had made a very pithy comment that in a relationship between two people, there is always one person among the two who loves the other less than the other. The person who loves less is the dominant person in the relationship because he/she has less to lose. Consequently the person who loves more sacrifices more and is somewhat subservient to the needs of the dominant partner...And this with all factors being equal i.e. you think you love each other the same...more of a subconscious behaviour..

- If we are to follow the essence of the story (in any adaptation made going forward) I observe looking at the treatment today, that kumud is definitely the person who (at least for now) has fallen head over heels many times over compared to saras.

- She will bear the greater brunt and sacrifice more simple because she loves saras more deeply and 'purely' (for lack of a better word).

Undecided on:

- kumud's coyness & shyness is very cute and logical. However, from the observation above, is her greater love taking away some of her essence - her fierceness, spunk, etc. when facing saras?

- Its early days yet...but just wondering...

- I also hope our dikra brings this out in the open & make it official soon...lengthy interludes are now begining to scare ... I almost expected khoti vaat or guman to see them in the end...like HDDCS...this time it will be the wrath of khoti vaat, guman, VC & Gunial all combined...not sure if saras will stand up to the combined wrath of all for his kumud...he's too new in this 'sacrifice / fight the world for my love' game...

.. and there is competing affection of his new found bond with LN...so if LN takes a contradictory view (acting on Guman's trigger)...who will he side with?

apologies if this feels like I am raining on the good feelings...wanted to take it one day at a time...but can't...each epi makes you think & wonder!!

If only SP / SLB clear how its gonna end...just an indicator...will enjoy the ride better...till then...biting nails...

Beautiful and meaningful post!

Saras is insecure and is still to reach that level of love that Kumud has already achieved. Kumud's gestures indicate how she has accepted him and his imperfections with all her heart whereas Saras is yet to do that. Personally if somebody ever asks me to define Love, I'll always say its about accepting each other with their flaws coz imperfections make us human and beautiful at the same time.

I guess its all because of their upbringing. Kumud has been living in a family where she got love and was pampered by everyone whereas Saras lived a life which was quite love-less so he'll take his time to test her love and believe if she really loves him. Goes well with their characters

I wrote in yesterday's post about this change in Saras... I am still trying to wrap my head around it. Is it TRP influenced or just happy in newly found love but insecure Dikra? But all the analysis for latter, for now I just plan to enjoy the romance.

Yes Nandy and I have forbidden logic returning from his cruise and spoiling the fun

Nandy, but I did kinda miss Guman, and her sarees

As for Saras being a love sick puppy and different - I kind of get that

He has never had anyone on whom he could show his haq,

The tantrums he throws, the way he demands things from Kumud

Reminds me of a little child, and we all do that as kids, and outgrow them

This is the first time in his life that he feels loved unconditionally

So he doesn't really believe it yet and continuously needs tangible proofs

In my mind it kind of fits in, not with Saras, per se, but with a person who has had

His kind of childhood.

Loved your take on this one...especially the song from the movie...Kumud lives that song...

Now this take of yours interested me the most...isnt this the very thing that Kumud did, and Vidyachatur once told Saras as Kumud heard the conversation from behind the doors outside...
"Jo bhi tujhe aisa samjhta ho (Swarthi) to usey tere dil mein jhankhna chahiye" something which Kumud did later on...but the basic change being ...Kumud although struck as the impatient one...remember her detour in the night .barging in to Saras' room to see him..because she could not wait till the morning...😆 it is Kumud who is now the epitome of patience...and Saras who is now the impatient one...making quick snap decisions...more in line with the original character though...Dont know if I made sense😕😆
