Praising his wife is immature .What a joke.

Gautam also said the same he also said SC name is like heroine name n i do stuff what heroine does. When the show lead actor itself says like that. That does not seems to be immature to you .

There is a difference between jovial and immature and making fun of a classic on an award show platform for the sake of praising your wife is immature. Not everyone is a fan of that couple and some things really grate on people if said the wrong way. A joke can backfire.

To say that promos should have less of SLB and more of Jenn because she's beautiful was also very rude. SLB sells way more than Jenn ever would. He needs to get practical with his praise or just do it in better settings. Putting down the show, SLB and the book and praising up the wife when he's not even part of the show is unnecessary, even in a joke.

Mary,
Relax man! 😊 Just because I disagree doesn't mean that I don't respect your POV or am trying to degrade you in any way😃. Different people have different personalities and that's how the world works. Since am a KaJen fan (I hope I won't be typecast-ed for it😆 ) I know little about their behavior as I've noticed in interviews over the years. Jenny is one of those ladies who comes with near perfect answers for everything, a lady who has panache and required grace to come up with 10 on 10 replies even in the most adverse situations; as we heard her comment on Karan's show was all praises whereas Karan is a clown(His words not mine). Diplomacy is not his forte and what he says has nothing to do with disrespect. As i said GR himself said "Saraswati ladki ka naam hai" and "Mai sab heroine ka kaam karta hu" then was he insulting his own character? NO! He was just having fun, cracking jokes in his break time something we all do in our free time and that's what Karan did or said. "Its a very nice show and hopefully it'll pick very soon" Karan also said this and we all are clearly missing that and though am not an amazing reader of expressions but that's when he had a staright and serious face. I never ever thought something like this would create such hullabaloo in the forum. He actually replicated the same joke that GR had already used😆.

Let me tell u his exact words "My wife is looking very beautiful in the show but as an actor I feel the promo should have had more of actors " He didn't say that it should have more of Jenny but more about the story and more about the characters the show is based on. I don't see anything wrong with it. SLB might be a bigger selling factor but characters are the real deal right? And even if you don't feel the same that's alright because as i said people are bound to have different opinions. He didn't put down the book or a story anywhere it was just a random comment and above all Mary we all are flawed humans and our imperfections make us different and beautiful in our own ways.

Hope u understand my stance😊

I completely agree with the essence of your argument.

Off-screen camaraderie between actors, especially lead actors does reinforce a more positive impression of the show and the characters that they play. I dunno if it is one of the main factors though.

I can say this from my own experience. For example, one of the main reasons why I am such a big fan of the Iron Man movie franchise is the friendship between Gwyneth Paltrow and Robert Downey Jr who play the lead couple. I watched a interview video where the two talked about their understanding and mutual respect for each other, teased each other, and talked about how Paltrow is a good friend of Downey's wife as well.

I dunno, but this endeared me more to the roles that they were playing, and their respective persona was made all the more...real for me.

In that way, such cast videos certainly amount to good publicity. It makes you understand the inner workings of the characters and how the actors work with each other to make you believe the simulation of reality.

And I will admit freely, learning about the supposedly cold vibes between co-stars of this show did skew my perception of the characters they play. Whenever I watch a romantic scene, I find myself thinking...what do the actors off-screen really think of each other?

Perhaps it's to do with the fact that lines between fiction and reality are so blurred for audiences sometimes, we attach emotionally with the characters and are disappointed that reality doesn't match up to our expectations.

I am certainly not suggesting that two actors have to be buddies for us to appreciate a show or a movie, or that they have to fake a friendship or whatever. But a good part of their professionalism involves showing how they work as a team, in spite of personal likes or dislikes, to keep the creative juices flowing. If they can show a mutual respect for the other's work, that is more than enough.

Sorry for boring you with this looonnnggg essay😳
