For the first, there was the interactive heroine.
Then, there was a special segment on the show hosted by Gautam. Yes, I am aware that TellyTalk did it but the show is allowing more access which is did not before on the set. Meaning, they are opening up to more publicity.
Now, try an actual promo, SLB and crew, and see how the show improves.
Beyond all that talk of professionalism and publicity lies one truth. This is entertainment and in entertainment - you entertain! Not indulge personal reservations. So, no need for authentic friendships, but essential publicity is just that - essential. We are not talking up fakes here either, readers are jumping to one extreme or the other.
A lot of fans may be bent over backwards to justify every behavior by their favorite actor(s), but it is the actor's responsibility at the end of the day to publicize the show as the viewers like it. Hence, TRP has the final say and you have to publicize the show in any way you can to make the audience buy it. If the viewers like to see as much cordiality off screen as on screen, that's what has to happen. Rule 1 of entertainment, the audience is always right.
While books are about self-expression as you want it, TV is about reception. In a book your can be avoidant, grumpy, anything you like. On TV, especially off screen it is not as free, there has to be positivity.
Time for an actual promo rather than a contemplation of previous scenes. Youtubers can put that together themselves. Give the audience something to look forward to and see how TRP rises. The TRP audience watches promos because they watch other shows throughout the week on various channels, it is not just an internet thing. So contrary to some arguments here, the promo will affect the TRP audience.
*** Please stop outbursts on how great Karan is here. He is mentioned in no part of this post. There is a forum for that and this is not it.***
