Or in some cases ... don't

Kumud was always the prodigal daughter, the women with a loving, caring, doting father.
The man who is as scared of loosing her, as she is of loosing him <3

"Daddy," I whispered, feeling my own breath hitch in my throat. "I love you." Just when I was sure he was asleep, the one corner of his mouth lifted in a smile. "I knew that," he murmured. "Always knew that." - Second Chance Summer. Morgan Matson

Vidhyachatur's dialogues today showed you how much love he has for his daughter .. I'm sorry, His son. " The one daughter i do have, is equal to having ten sons." Sigh. The bond they bond is truly heartwarming <3

But what about the father that Saras doesn't have? We saw him flash those pearly whites and looking like a kid in a candy store, when he heard that his father was going to help him. However there are so many cracks in their relationship ... and if Gumaan has her way, nobody will be able to fix them. Even using fevicol 😔 ( Kumud and Badi Ma's teaming up is doing wonders though 😛)

Or the Father that Kumari doesn't have ... Her questions to Badi maa weren't unreasonable. She became that venerable little girl again, The little girl who longed for her father. The daughter, seeing what her " Kumud Didi " shares with her father ... Is beginning to realise just what she's missing.

sometimes parents hide stuff from kids thinking that its better not knowing then suffer or feel ashamed after knowing . its their way of protecting their kids . i m sure dukba does have some very valid reason for not telling kumari about her dad.

even after todays epi dukba's behavior also can be explained .like she is always shouting at her n all ...to me she wants that distance n little uncomfortable around her daughter . kumari i dont know how old is she but she acts like a teen... so dukba's this attitude and not telling her from kumari's side may b seems unfair .. but think from dukba's POV what can she do ??

or may b i m just thinking too much 😆.

It happens when a mother cannot handle everything by herself. May be an unforgettable event had happened with DB that she thinks its better not to let Kumari know about her father. Has he left DB when she was preggy?

VC has been shown as an excellent father. The father - daughter bonding between him and Kumud is the best I have seen in Indian soaps so far.

I heart your post and I heart VC- Kumud relationship. She's his pride and he's the most important person in her life. The father-daughter duo leave me all warm and fuzzy.
The person I really feel bad for in the Desai family is Kumari. She's all chirpy and bouncy but really she lives a sad life. Her mother's greater affection and inclination towards Kumud is clearly visible and she gets the cold shoulders most of the time. And today she yearned to be loved as a daughter like VC loves Kumud. I often think Saras and Kumari have similar plights. At least Saras knows now that there is hope. But I want the makers to explore that Saras-Kumari dimension.

Kumud-Vidyachatur's bonding is too endearing and touching to put in hearts!!! while watching today's episode, I realized how lucky Kumud is!! she is the life of her house...what parents she has got! and most importantly she knows this...her saying "God sent me to the best family" says all!!! she is the pride of her family and her family is her pride!!
wish all girls have fathers like Vidyachatur then nowhere in the world would daughters be taken as burdens!!

and I agree I felt really bad for Saras and Kumari, esp Kumari...poor girl shows so much happiness, but she has such a deep, huge pain in her heart and she doesn't deserve that pain for the person she is!!

Yes, the father-daughter bonding between VC and Kumud are touching! Kumud is her family's pride, the same way her family is her pride.

I hope Kumari too gets the love she deserves from her father, poor kid, I feel bad for her

I really love your post. It's so beautiful.

Saras indeed was like a boy in a candy store. The way he just keeps on looking at how Kumud is loved and cherished by her family. That wanting look in his eyes is very heart wrenching.

Kumari on the other hand, also witnessed the fact that how much her mamu loves Kumud. She wanted answers too. Why isn't a father like VC in her life? Dukhbaa has her reasons to hide this fact from her but till how long? She is mature enough and she is determined to know the truth. All happy and cheery on the outside and broken in the inside.
