interesting topic Mary👍🏼

I haven't really thought about it but I feel marriages are made in heaven...and you get "someone" who was made for you and it's up to destiny!!
but I can talk about Kumud as a character..like you, I can also relate to her...I am a very no-nonsense girl as well...if I think something is unfair, I speak against it no matter what the situation is!!

You asked a million dollar question.
It depends on a lot of things. However good, smart one is, fate plays a very important role in my opinion. If you are like Arnav who doesn't believe in kismat, then you won't understand. But, there are very few things in our control and getting the right life partner is definitely not on that list.

Then you think marriage is all about compromising and if both follow it, it kind of works out pretty well.

P.S: I am neither depressed nor have a bad marriage, just stating my POV.

Well there are many girls out there who are just like Kumud...myself included...I'm very opinionated, stubborn and quite headstrong and sometimes that gets a bit much for the opposite sex...I was married once before to quite the MCP and he couldn't handle the kind of person I am...suffice it to say that I'm a born and bred Brit and the guy was brought up in India with the views that women are submissive creatures and should bow to their every whim...compromise didn't even enter his dictionary...let's just say that things didn't end well and it made me sour towards guys...coming to your question I honestly don't think guys like Saras exist...the guys of today are very self-centered and think it's still very much a mans world...

Actually a guy like Saras is the perfect foil for Kumud, she is hyper and he is shaant

She is always up for a fight, he likes to cool things down

She is all ego and he all humility

In their gunas, they complement each other

In their core values, they are identical and believe in the same

So externally, they are different enough to make the relationship spicy

Internally, they share the same value set, to be able to have a life long relationship

And Saras dikra, though, very seedha, is no pushover, his is the quiet strength

And with her toh, anyway he does a lot of dadagiri, sadda haq type

In real life, I think yes, it's possible, milega, milega, Arnav type chahiye, Saras type chahiye, pehle decide to Kare ka padi na, hello hi bye bye!

Khoti baat na boloon
