Unlike general mahaepisodes which are infamous for dragging and leaving us at a cliffhanger, not only was SC's first one well-paced and nicely scripted but had an excellent closure to it as well. A closure which signified a new beginning for Saras and Kumud where they will together seek penance for something which is neither's fault.

Kumud was beyond fantastic with her speech, which I personally feel every Indian should seek inspiration from. I love the conviction in her voice when she stood in front of the entire village for an innocent man. But apart from the social message it conveyed, what stood out was how well she had deciphered Saras subconsciously, even he seemed surprised that someone actually understood him for once!

When Saras was being badmouthed, it was Kumud who was hurt because she knows how much Saras must be suffering hearing stuff being said about his mother. It made her restless to think about him being hungry and cold and being punished for protecting her family. So she vows not to leave him alone in this. She vows to stand by him whether he likes it or not (some things never change, eh?). She will not let him be treated so harshly by the villagers as if he were the culprit. And I'm happy that Saras admitted at the end of the episode that having Kumud by his side does give him hope. And it is this hope which will bring him back to Kumud in future at a time when she will need him the most. They're truly the light of each other's lives.

In the past few days, these two have probably gotten to know each other more than anyone else. They've involuntarily opened up in a way that they can now read each other. Despite several tries by Saras, Kumud refuses to believe when Saras tells her that it was him indeed who is responsible for the gau hatya. But she isn't as naive as the villagers, is she? She can see the truth of an innocent man in his eyes and she doesn't stand by him only because he is innocent. She stands by him because his eyes have unknowingly paved a way in her heart and it hurts to see those eyes filled with pain they had never deserved to see.

And if Kumud can catch Saras' lie, so can he with her. He doesn't for one second believe when she tells him in the last scene that she's had her dinner and I love how they managed to make each other eat. Kumud by telling him that if he doesn't eat, VC will stay hungry too and Saras by making her 'taste' the food. It was a beauty to watch!

And I cannot wrap up without mentioning VC. It's incredulous to even think that Saras would ever regret giving LN's place to him. In VC, Saras sees the loving and caring father he never got in LN. I cannot imagine the latter ever covering Saras up so affectionately with a blanket or staying hungry because his son had to go without his meal.

P.S. Yash and his mother are now among characters I dislike. Spineless cowards! And Dukhbaa better get over the assumptions of Saras she's formed in her head if she doesn't want to join the list.

Haven't caught up with the epi yet but your description is so detailed and poised; Capturing the essence of every scene which I'm now pretty eager to watch.

Great post, I really hate yash and his mother, I mean who does she think she is constantly telling everyone how great her son is, then to defend him when he has done something so bad and letting an innocent man take the blame!

Completely agree with u it was not a normal ME .It was so different n not too much dragging .Rocking ME.The last scene SaMud having dinner that scene was so beautiful.

Kumud the way she supported for saras n she is adamant to help him.Love Kumud for this.

Jenny acting was too good 👏.Hats off to jenny in one episode she showed many expression n shades of kumud so perfectly. Her anger when she supported kumud , the way she standed helpless n was crying when they took saras, they way she spoke with saras she always stand by truth, her convo with her mom they way she wiped her tears.Last scene when she made saras to eat n when saras cleverly made her eat .The expressions were bang om loved her puppy face expression.
Kumud Aka Jenny ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Actually. Hiding the truth was one thing but so openly accusing Saras, like seriously? Mad woman🤔
