Now that Saras childhood is being shown in flashbacks its so obivous why he is so silent and hesitate to make relations. Because every relation he has had only gave him immense pain that cannot be erased from his heart and mind all life. It is surprising how Saras still can smile at others happiness and act as if others pain is his own pain. Because when a person/child faces rejection, abuse in childhood they grow up to be anti socials wanting to take their anger on this world or addicts wanting to forget their pain and world.
In Saras case every relationship has given pain
His mom left him alone as a child still in prenursery and committed sucide that too right in front of his eyes. We cannot imagine the nightmare of seeing that scene rewinded in his memory from the day his mom died
His dad most probabbly betrayed his mom and then did not wait much to marry Guman and make her his mom. In a far away land without friends, relatives or anyone to bother about his welfare Saras grew up all alone. His father never even bothered to check on how his new wife treats his son?
His step mom scarred his soul for life. Imagine a small child running to his mom for some care and attention after being spalshed with mud and being shooed off to take bath by himself and even wash his mudied clothes. No wonder Saras was so happy on Kumud's mom removing his shoes and drying his hair
His step brother i am sure never played with him or was not allowed to play with him. I am most curious of what relation Saras and his step brother have? That is why today when Saras saw Kumud's siblings playing joined in the fun.
Dhukba too misbehaved with him yesterday when he tried to tell his pain and finally Kumud is acting very harsh humiliating him for no reason at all steps. No wonder Saras wants to take sanyas atleast that way there will be no one around who will misbehave with him. But Saras is mature enough to understand that Kumud is reacting to his letter and forgive her at every step although he sometimes cannot bear her taunts and argues with her. I am sure he will not do that from today as he himself told "I will accept all your anger" after knowing that she had dreamt of him before the rishta had come
