Maybe I have seen to many English drama, but I'm not going to lie, I even thought this myself that the step mom liked the step son, Until I realised, this is Indian drama.

Anyway apparently, Saras has a half brother Danny by his step mom, and at the moment his half brother is at boarding school.

The step mom doesn't want Saras to get married, or have an hier, or get close to the dad, because she want's her son Danny to inherit Laksmi Nandan empire, and live happy ever after with her son.

It's hard to take the step son and mother serious, as they are the same age in real life.

The straight utterance is guman wants all properties owner wl b her own son n saras wl remain vagabond in his whole life..she thinks if he gets marriage,he wl become family man n start looking after his father's business fully by the influence of his wife..jai sa chudail character esae worse soach ye guman ki!

Because, if Saras gets married he will bring his wife to Dubai and will do all the business, but Ghumaan wants to make him a aestic/priest so he is always engrossed with religious stuff, and never gets married or looks at the business. Then, her son Danny will be the only heir of Lakshmi Nandan's property, and she will send Saras away so her, Danny and LN can stay peacefully.
