Hello I am back again. I may not be so detailed today since I am typing this up with my iPad 😆
Yesterday I wrote up some symbolism about how Kumud is the kite and Saras is the string. I felt that whole kite and string connection even today.
Many are coming up with some negative symbolism because they know about the actual novel. I don't care what the actual story is, so for me I see kumud and Saras tied together forever.
As Kumud's kite was cut it started to fly alone without any direction. Kumud followed it, referring once that she is the Kite. She too followed the Kite not caring of where it would land. Saras being the string followed his kite. Just like how the string follows the kite from the end...Saras too followed Kumud. It was as though they both were tied together...like how a kite and its string are tied together. He flew with his kite. As how the head of the string gets caught onto something...Kumud the kite gets stuck with the house. It was kinda like stay here don't go any further, there is trouble ahead, but once again she is able to set herself free again. Finally they come face to face...and at one point they caught up to one another...he flew to the front, as he saw her face, just like how a string can flow ahead of the kite when not being held.
I know many are saying that Kumud left him there, but technically he didn't. He still retrieved that kite despite the hell he was put through.
I see as the fact that by the time he realizes he loves Kumud he will be healed from his past wounds. His Kumud will be the healer. Notice how while trying to get to Kumud's kite, he passes through some hurtful traumatic experiences...means their love will face hurt/pain due to his past...but in the end it will pass. I think this because even when he is drowning looking for his mom...he comes out with the kite. This hurdle wasn't able to separate the string from the kite.
Also remember how Saraswati tells Saras that she will come back...we can also refer that as to, she will be back in Kumud...we already know that her payal noise...her waist band makes noise...and that itself makes him remember his mom. We all remember when he was talking to his mom's picture in the first episode I believe he says that the noise of her payals he still remembers. He can already connect Kumud to his mom in that way.
You can also refer to the lake scene in this way. To get to Kumud, he will have to look at his past, he will have to tackle his past, come to terms with it. It is his past reasons why he cannot love, and for that he will have to reopen those wounds again...he will have to walk across fire and only then he will know that Kumud is meant for him. Kumud of course will walk with him. Like i said that the Kite and string stayed tied to together. Today Saras walked across the water, ironically it is actually fire, his trauma...that water holds such a horrible past about his mother, but he made it out with HIS kumud...he realized after that he had the kite in his hand.😛
This past appearance was needed. This was the only way for Kumud to realize a whole other side to Saras...and the same for Saras. Sara's past will bring Kumud closer to him...will create a stronger bond with a whole other meaning. She will heal him from this trauma...she will get him out of it.
