Hello readers, our TT moment of the day today belongs to the Movie Maestro Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Magnum Opus and TV debut "Saraswatichandra" starring Gautam Rode in the title role and Jennifer Winget as his lady love Kumud Sundari.

Well any guesses anybody as to which scene from Saraswatichandra made it as the TT Moment of the day?? While many of you may guess Saras seeing Kumud's face after all the hide and seek'.well you are''..Wrong. While Saraswatichandra seeing Kumud's face was expected to be the highlight of the episode, considering it's been exactly 2 weeks since the male and female lead came face to face, their first magical meet etc the impact of the scene was short lived because of the scene that followed which was far more impactful in terms of screenplay, execution and acting that it was the perfect choice for our moment of the day.

Kumud and SC run behind the Kite, while that scene was stretched a bit and looked quite hilarious at places, the 2 moments that was incorporated amidst it that is Kumud's Dupatta gets stuck and SC coming forward to help her plus SC seeing Kumud's face before the sun set needs special mention because it was beautifully woven into an otherwise intense and emotional episode.

Kumud and SC reach the shore of a pond when Kumud spots her Kite on the other side of it stuck among branches of a tree falling into the pond, SC is stunned to see the pond, his expression changes from fear, to helplessness to pain and then starts getting flashes of a Sari stuck in the same branches where Kumud's kite lay now. Kumud in an attempt to taunt SC, to mock him and challenge him requests SC to get the Kite for her, little did she know that what she was doing was adding salt to SC's wounds which were still open, which perhaps never healed at all. She calls him "Darrpok" which was the trigger point, SC starts getting more flashes of his mother entering the pond, of him following her, the voice of his mother asking him to take care of his father, asking him to leave as she descends deeper and deeper into the pond.

SC enters the pond and like in a daze keeps walking towards the branch, his gaze fixated on the Kite, but picturing it as his Mom's Saree while Kumud and her sisters leave. He reaches the spot where the kite hanged and takes it off the branches carefully, the inter-cuts here between SC holding the kite and the saree gave a new dimension to it, followed by the him actually seeing the events that occurred on that unfateful day and he forgets to differentiate between real and delusion. He follows his mother and tries to help her, pull her out and do something he couldn't do back then. After all he wasn't a Darpok right? There was a particular shot/frame here when SC is shown behind the branches 'something like this'.

It's symbolic of his life, how tangled it is, that he has lost himself in that maze and cannot bring himself about to come out of it.

What came as a shocking surprise was Badi Maa's reaction; it was least expected and hence more impactful. The moment Badi Maa comes to know where SC was she rushes towards the spot like no tomorrow a sense of fear gripping her. When she reaches the spot she sees SC literally have no sense of what he was doing or what was happening around him, she jumps into the pond and pulls a drowning SC, who clings onto her like a frightened child, gasping for air and tears rolling down his cheeks as he cries for his mother. Badi Maa pulls SC supports the latter and takes him out of the pond, when flashes of what happened during the time of his mother's death make an appearance on screen.

We come to know that it was Badi Maa who saved a young drowning SC back then too, and like last time she hugs him, kisses his forehead and assures him everything was fine, that there was nothing to worry about. She brings a faint smile on SC face when he realizes how Badi Maa who maintained a considerable amount of distance from him till now came to his aid and made sure he was safe and secure.

A well written, executed and enacted scene, one of the best in Saraswatichandra so far and truly our moment of the Day!!!
