Slb of course adores all things majestic whether that is via the overwhelming sets, story and of course the magnified characters that inhabit and add to the large scale of his vision so you would generally assume that much of him as everything in his world is turned up a notch to the level of grandeur, grand gestures, you run out of adjectives to describe his love for big things. i love that he loves that, its a visual fest, but again, he fails whenever he has overused the same scenarios, it gets tedious to watch, how often can you keep repeating things without falling bland. I find it hard to sympathise with kumud, her emotions are somewhat overspent much like the costumes she wears, you could still look desirable with a more simpler clothing, just doesn't fit, not that I'm regressive, but it certainly fails to capture exterior simplicity, which kumud represents. Also the chemistry with saras is rather forced, unnatural, and also inadequate; as was mentioned in the previous comment. I completely agree with what you say regarding the other sisters, I am sure they are interesting people who surely have their own desires and passions aside from
getting their kicks from the saraskumud relationship. Props indeed, nothing more!!

@srushti @rangeeni,1.I am glad that someone expressed the views which I held, the very introductory scene of Kumud getting the pearl for VC looked boasting to me, that too completely ignoring his other daughter, Kusum.2.Other characters( kusum, gyan, chamdrika)in the show need to be given importance in their own way, rather than showing completely mogambo style conspiring villains.( I mean Umesh, Badi kaki, Yash).3.Kumud is being shown over the top emotional for a separation of a few days, rather than looking ahead with excitement for the wedding presently .. Not digesting that. She is being made a too weak character, I mean making mannat.. of going around tree..she offered milk to poor kids instead of idols..that is Kumud for me). Make her strong to not a cry baby, not a lady to get scared by whatever saasuma says.4. They have already had wedding (albeit to themselves)and suhaag raat. they trust each other..They need to behave with each other like any married couple.A wife crying so much .. Will make nusband's life a misery. On the other hand, I completely agree with Kumud' costume. She is simple in her own way. After all Gujarati's wear bright colours, they are known have embellishments.I can excuse backless choli for cinematic liberty, kusum's attire looks too mundane to me.Kumud is also not shown to wear overthe top necklace everyday. Simplistic beauty there.Hair again, very realistic, (the fringe of hair in front is bit long, but it is actresses's hair, a wig there is unreal)... Keep up with the dressing please. An analogy here : any Indian attire looks too bright and grand to a westerner who is used to grey/black/blue suits. At the same time, wearing black ( which is considered classy in Western world) looks too monotonous and colorless to me.I'm watching the show for the essence of love story, where I'm told the characters have their own ideals and are there for each other no matter what.. Marriage or not.
They give a perfectly executed scenes between Saras and Kumud on some episodes, just as I get hooked, there is drab drama again.
I'm at complete loss at Why Kumud is crying so much? Is it the actress? Or script?Where is that self assured girl who said by the pool ' Jahah pyaar hai Waha vishwaas hai' ..I cannot see relate to this melodramatic glycerin queen, superstitious beliefs of going around tree as well, sorry Kumud has been butchered by one act of PMS. 😡I would like them to utilize that angle of having had physical union ... their love growing stronger and much deeper than puppy love expressions. That also should make their interaction with each other much uninhibited.I do not have any problems with her being shown glamorous, she is still wearing ghaghra choli..not western outfits that may have looked unrealistic.Lesser the screen space for villainous characters the better. Cv's seem to have faltered by bringing in too many grey characters..

Introductory scene I understand had a lot of drama...both their entries had...But later?? I remember how Kusum was carrying Kumud's luggage and Kumud was walking like a queen ahead of her...I mean it seemed so pompous...When Saras came and the sisters exchanged their clothes, it seemed like a bond...like two sisters conspiring..but later scenes...as if Kusum has no life but to be a shadow of Kumud..she has no identity no existence...the way the whole house goes gaga over Kumud and ignores existence of every other girl...infact the first time I thought that VC knew he had another daughter was when he talked to DB about not hiding the facts with the future in laws of Kusum and Kumari...2.Other characters( kusum, gyan, chamdrika)in the show need to be given importance in their own way, rather than showing completely mogambo style conspiring villains.( I mean Umesh, Badi kaki, Yash).3.Kumud is being shown over the top emotional for a separation of a few days, rather than looking ahead with excitement for the wedding presently .. Make her strong to not a cry baby, not a lady to get scared by whatever saasuma says.you have nailed it here...Kumud is strong, defiant...and courageous...not the sappy girl who would be running around a tree for making badhas so that her lover can return from his impending journey...I understand had it been a separation or someone was hospitalized or their union was opposed or something..but for this??😕4. They have already had wedding (albeit to themselves)and suhaag raat. they trust each other..They need to behave with each other like any married couple.A wife crying so much .. Will make nusband's life a misery.hahha that surely would be horrendous...wife crying everytime her husbands goes out of the house ...'na jaao saiyaan!"😆On the other hand, I completely agree with Kumud' costume.
