Waise has somebody noticed that apart from being SLB's first venture, it is also named after the hero...??? (Ofcourse I am not counting show which are Detective and action oriented!) ...
And it is his character, which creates a mystery... a silent, watchful, thinking, character...who is shown to have his own prejudices, who is not ready to please everyone, yet as the prototype goes, is also not a brat and love-them-leave them kind..
It is this, the following your heart, that Saras has and attracts me...
The observer (Didnt we witness it today,...Kamar ki width ko aankhon se measure kar ke, dono kamars ko compare karke, dismissed Kusum as Kumud!) Microscopic Eyes!! Kumud you were so mistaken...they were not honest eyes, they were X ray eyes...*ahem*
Coming to the episode...he is a peculiar mixture na...the way he shakes his head, when Kumud's cousin offers him water...as if trying to shake himself out of the stupor that Kumud's presence in the vicinity created...the nod was so simple...as if trying to disbelieve that Kumud was so stubborn as she would not come to give him water, not see his face...that determination of hers is strengthening his zidd!!!
Did someone notice his change in the demeanour, when Vidyachatur said that his Kumud is gonna be daughter in law to Laxminandan and Saraswati (Not Guman) ... it was as the name of his mother bound him sacrosanct to Kumud in some invisible way...he is slowly getting entrapped in those silken webs of relations that he so tries to avoid in Dubai...Gujarat actually has crept on him...
I like how he analyzes people correctly, the way he dismisses Badi Ma and her son,..the look he gives her son, when he is told that they used to play together...it is almost that he is too polite to say otherwise but he is sure that he never played with anyone like him in his entire lifeđ
It also goes on to show that sometimes, we so completely misread a person by his words...when Saras said that he doesnot want to talk about his mother and that photos revive memories which he had rather not relive...Badima is all criticism and when this was again repeated to Dukhima, she thinks that Saras is not attached to his mother, whereas Saras clings to his mother and memories like anything...he even doesnot like shortening his name because that would separate him from his mother...
The too good scene was Kusum and Saras...the way Kumud went to all the lengths of hiding herself and Saras immediately recognized her...even the bits of payal...the way it fell...told him that this was not the girl who had told her that he had no right to see her face...something in her calm presence, the succumbing manner told him that it could not be the fiery Kumud..and he pointedly says that to Kusum...giving Kumud's payal to her ...as if throwing a challenge back...so it was totally "in your court" ...
Kumud had challenged him to come, and so he did, but now he has challenged her...he will not leave without meeting her...and the payal was given as a token of the challenge...telling her on her face that he knows what lengths they had gone to, to misguide him, let him think that Kusum was Kumud!!!
Precap: Call me old fashioned and totally unromantic but unless they show something very different I am not much attracted to falling on the same bed theory...I dont want him to see her this way...still Let us see what SLB shows us in his own unique way!!
