😭😭😭😭😭😭

I know mere ko khud rona aa raha hai...but what can i do...I am seriously disappointed with the way Saraswatichandrs is going...I know i may be even bashed for this post. because that's what happens these days on IF...but i need to vent it out.

The whole built-up they gave for the Promo is sadly missing from the episodes...I know only one week has passed and it's early to make a judgement, but my jugdement is based only on the week that has passed by...Jo ek hafte mein dikhaya uski ki basis pe i am telling...While i like stuffs in bits and pieces, totality mein i am not getting that feel that i first got when i saw the promo when i made it a point ki yeh show toh mujhe dekhna hi hai.😳

For starters the show is missing SLB's touch, yes many scenes have resemblance to HDDCS and Devdas including today's episode where Kumud's room is given to SC...In HDDCS they asked Nandini to do the same...

I really don't have problem with show lifting scenes from the movies...Kitne shows hai where they adapt to using hit Bollywood scene's but i think when you lift shows from your own work and that magic is not there, or not enhanced i makes a difference... here SLB Movie scenes are taken for his own show so it's OK...

Itne zyada scene similarities ke baad...i wouldn't be surprised if i see a galore more of them...Kumud is not ready to show her face to SC, i wouldn't be surprised if they adapted the Devdas method where Dev sees Paro's face in the moonlight.

While i was hoping for a dramatic difference in treatment, SARASWATICHANDRA is no different...I think Gautam Rhode as SC is an apt choice but i am still apprehensive about Jennifer as Kumud...No Offense...I think they are pushing her too much into becoming Nandini (Ash's Character from HDDCS) .

The pace is good, yet there is a dragging...There is something lifeless and listless about such a colorful show...and so i am guessing it's the presentation...the way in which things are executed which is off...

Many of us have read the Novel, and though the show is going to be an adapted version, or a rehashed version of the original work...that magical touch of SLB is missing.

Dey may be similar but not SAME...
I dunno, but I dont wanna comapre dis show wid HDDCS n Devdaas, dey were different, 3 hr movies...sc is a serial, expected 2 run til 2000 epis...
I hv red d novel, but dat wil NEVER happen...
Maybe ur point is correct
But I LOVE IT N ITS GETTING BETTER BY EACH PASSING DAY...😃
I think, u shud giv chance to dis...it's only 7 epis old...
Many shows r faltu in d starting, totally crap, suddenly dey get interesting...SUDDENLY...almost all serials r bad in d starting...!

lmao you saw that Kumud's room was given to Saras but you didn't see that unlike Nandini, Kumud didn't say "No" even once...she didn't say she wouldn't give him his room...she took all her stuffs without complaining even once...but of course, you wouldn't see it😊
and Kumud is nowhere like Nandini...Nandini was much more childish while Kumud is much more mature...Kumud is much more intelligent, smart, and practical.

I won't go into details of how Kumud and Nandini are different. I agree with Sanju on that point. Kumud is much more mature, intelligent and practical. Only their look is similar since both characters are from Gujrat.. BTW this novel was written and idea of Kumud's character was conceptualised way before HDDCS which was again based on a Gujrati novel. So if anything, its Nandini of HDDCS who is similar to Kumud..Moreover, its not like he picked scenes from some1 else's movie.. These days a lot of scenes in daily soaps are lifted as it is from movie.. Atleast SLB is not doing that😳

I never said that picking scenes from the movie was wrong or right...And i too mentioned the same ki these days these things are common and he's just using his hit formula...You have mentioned about Kumud's Character traits because i said I hope they don't push her into becoming a Nandini i guess...I am well aware that Kumud is mature, intelligent etc but you see there is flaw in the execution...Presentation not just costumes, but certain nuances are similar to Nandini...Character wise yes Nandu grew when she suffered the biggest heart break of her life...

Yes Kumud's character was conceptualized way before Nandini, but if u have seen SC the movie, or read SC the novel, you'd understand what i am saying because this is an adapted version something made to fit today TV Viewing...It's modified...SLB knows majority of us loved Nandini...he has given a lot of her shades in looks, in dressing in certain aspects similar to that than the actual Kumud Sundari

I said similarity in presentation...did not say rip off of the scene

SaraswatiChandra seral does not look like it is made from the book or the oggie movie...Its SLB's version of glorified SC...I do not even see any similarities to the orig story or book..
SLB is copy-pastin his own work...He lost his charm in Sanwariya and I dont see much hope here...
Though I am going to give him a chance and watch b4 jumpin to conclusions in a wk time...But nothing substantial so far besides glamorous dubai house, people and wonderful ratan nagari farm house with nice family...All resembling to HDDCS..

Just a disclaimer I have nothing against the actors, in fact I have never seen any of their shows before. So to me they are new and this is my own veiw.
I have never read the story or know much about the writer as I am not indian. As for the films mentioned well I actually avoided them both - because of the well known bollywood factor of dragging a story for 4hours or so as well as actually not liking some of the so called actors acting abilities!😃😃
However, I have been watching SC since day one. I am pleasantly surprised that the story is advancing - for some reason I thought it would be dragging. I tired to analyse why and came to the conclusion that though the story is set in present a sense of old fashioness is prevelant and I thought certain things would take longer.
Though I watch it, I don't believe in the characters, they jar with me. Maybe because I have never actually met anyone like them before in real life or perhaps I just need to give them time to become more three dimensional. At the moment I find all of them sterotypical..yes, all of them.
I am a writer in real life and let me tell you, if I wrote a story about these people it would be rejected so quick my mss would have scorch marks by how fast it came back!! they need some flaws to humanise them and I wait in hope. As a writer I am more keen in the threads looped through and so far I am interested in the ones mentioned/hinted/or foreshadows and I really, really hope they come through as I think it will make the story more rounded and better. I also hope each character is developed properly as well.
I understand the need for glamour and larger than life stage setting but again it makes this a story only few could relate to.
Here's hoping the promise implied in the writing is actually, for once, delivered. Its a shame how wasted indian shows are when just a bit more thought in writing, being consisted in character motivation can seriously keep audiences glued to the show.

You have done a good job explaining your point.

I totally agree that the room scene was taken from his movie. 'Kumud ka room sabse bada hai , give it to Saras'. 'Nandani ka room sabse bada hai, give it to Sameer'. So I agree with what you are talking about. But this could also be because both the characters are from Gujarat. They are bound to be similarities in character traits.

What I don't agree is that judging-a- book-by its cover attitude. Give it time. Hold your judgement. Trust me this is ALOT better than the other crap shows currently on Tv.

Wait for that magic. Hopefully you might see some tomorrow.

Agree with u.
We should not compare SC with HDDCS.So far the story is moving and i like it.
Here kumud is not like nandini immediately she satrted removing her stuff to give her room to SC.
So far SLB has not brought any scenes from the movie.
