I know mere ko khud rona aa raha hai...but what can i do...I am seriously disappointed with the way Saraswatichandrs is going...I know i may be even bashed for this post. because that's what happens these days on IF...but i need to vent it out.
The whole built-up they gave for the Promo is sadly missing from the episodes...I know only one week has passed and it's early to make a judgement, but my jugdement is based only on the week that has passed by...Jo ek hafte mein dikhaya uski ki basis pe i am telling...While i like stuffs in bits and pieces, totality mein i am not getting that feel that i first got when i saw the promo when i made it a point ki yeh show toh mujhe dekhna hi hai.đł
For starters the show is missing SLB's touch, yes many scenes have resemblance to HDDCS and Devdas including today's episode where Kumud's room is given to SC...In HDDCS they asked Nandini to do the same...
I really don't have problem with show lifting scenes from the movies...Kitne shows hai where they adapt to using hit Bollywood scene's but i think when you lift shows from your own work and that magic is not there, or not enhanced i makes a difference... here SLB Movie scenes are taken for his own show so it's OK...
Itne zyada scene similarities ke baad...i wouldn't be surprised if i see a galore more of them...Kumud is not ready to show her face to SC, i wouldn't be surprised if they adapted the Devdas method where Dev sees Paro's face in the moonlight.
While i was hoping for a dramatic difference in treatment, SARASWATICHANDRA is no different...I think Gautam Rhode as SC is an apt choice but i am still apprehensive about Jennifer as Kumud...No Offense...I think they are pushing her too much into becoming Nandini (Ash's Character from HDDCS) .
The pace is good, yet there is a dragging...There is something lifeless and listless about such a colorful show...and so i am guessing it's the presentation...the way in which things are executed which is off...
Many of us have read the Novel, and though the show is going to be an adapted version, or a rehashed version of the original work...that magical touch of SLB is missing.
