Recall me?? Geet-IPK import..we sparred on ur "XXX wale kostins" thread on IPK forum..

I don't watch SC, however, caught up with written updates last evening and yest's episode, because I found out you have switched loyalties. Not planing on being regular anyways...Considering I love ripping Gul apart.. Qubool Hai on Zee is the only thing I am watching these days...more so because the female lead there is a new face.. tired of watching the same ole faces on telly...

Edit: While I am at it, I don't agree with small screen aping it's big brother. The show is modeled and gives out HDDCS vibes...that's not creativity if you ask me.. copying is a talent in itself but also emphasizes lack of imagination. Kumud could have been anyone, an icon by herself and not a replica of Nandini. And ,yes ,I am aware of the distinction between inspiration from and reproduction of a work of art.

Hasn't Mr SLB heard of the quote : Better be a first rate version of yourself than be a second rate copy of someone else.

Undoubtedly , it's an immense praise to an actor who can match up to an original, bringing his/her own sensibilities, internalizing the character and making it his/her own, adding a new dimension to a much loved character that has already been seen and perceived as iconic by the masses.

SC's Kumud could've been vastly different from HDDCS's Nandini. Gujju set up, lavish sets can be similar... not a crime... but going to the extent of styling your lead like the 70mm look is stretching it .

I know its a waste of my breath and nothing novel in it being stated but what's up with sharam lihaaj and bhartiya sanskriti in an itsy bitsy outfit when ppl around you are all covered up...besides, those long bangs / fringes framing her pretty face is annoying.. where on earth would you spot a gaon ki gori chhori sporting a hairstyle like that...

and just how many ramu kaka's are employed at Kumud mansion? with a gazillion doors and jharokhaas , complete with a pond et all... high maintenance needed!!! all that near royal edifice and still not enough rooms to accommodate one guest...had to be kumud's room eh?

Is it an adaptation of the novel or HDDCS?

I understand SLB's sensibilities are lavish and theatrical, that's his trademark and identity as a director..much like a brand.. SC has his stamp all over it...but if a director chooses to be repetitive in his presentation, how does one intend to grow?

Who am I to sit on judgement anyways!

Ah i remember all my IPK guys.. so be assured I do remember you too, we've had some awesome debates there with FLS Vibha and gang..

edited the prev post...you are bang on about putting in undeserved trust in 4 Lions.. I am just watching QH to piss off folks at QH forum...As mentioned the idea is to assess Gul's EQ, IQ and all sorts of Q's.. Checking if she will ever learn from her mistakes..shez making all sorts of em with QH.. I don't think I'll stick with QH for long, the fun lies in the forum not in the show per se...
