Ya, something needs to pick up here. It's not coming together.

Agreed its not realistic, and I am picky

But I don't think it's in touch with today's time, the romance and parents arranging the match and assuming that the kids will fall in line is completely outdated!

Who said that everyone today falls in love and gets married? Even today arranged marriages are very common and parents do find suitable rishtas for their kids. Saras's dad seems very worried about his future and I understand why, he is so deep in his religion and seems as if he never wants to get married because of how his mother was treated. Any father would be worried if they were in that kind of a situation.

I somehow feel that it is quite believable and there may be people who still are as religious and strict on their views about marriage...

We have got to wait and see how the story goes but it was good...to see some good values depicted like the son pleasing his Dad because his Mom told him the story of Ram..and he was very respectful of his Mom...

I am loving it...

Completely agree with you on that.

My problem is with dad demanding that Saras should quietly get married to the girl without seeing her, should have no say in this whole situation, it would make more sense to encourage Saras to meet some girls, I mean a forced marriage is awful, he might be ruining kumudsundari and Saras's life and in this day and age a business man settled abroad doesn't give any freedom of choice to his son ?

Few things I'd like to point out :

1. He used a private mailing/courier service to send the letter which is why the bill was sent at home. It will be faster than the regular mailing service. In the original novel, they exchange letter so they stuck to it. It was shown in next scene doesnt mean she received it the same day.

2. The concept of parents fixing their children's marriage is not outdated in India. In our country majority of the marriages even in big cities are arranged by parents. Atleast Kumud is being consulted and has been given a choice which is nice considering she is from a small town. Saras's father is an autocrat who wants things to be done his way since he thinks his son is not capable of taking decisions regarding his personal life..Saras's inclination towards spiritiuality being the main reason here.. So no its not outdated.

About the epi being boring, I dont think its possible to show some drama in every episode..right? Even in a novel a lot of pages are descriptive and we skim through them quickly to reach the interesting part..atleast I do! The story is progressing very nicely and its just the 3rd episode.Today a new character Dukhba was introduced who has some sour memories related to Saras's family.. Im sure they will make Saras and Kumud meet soon too which is what every1 is waiting for.😊
