Phew! Finally the much awaited premiere, to be honest the first episode definitely lived upto my expectations. It showcased what the whole show is about and gave away many different possible stories that will be touched upon in the near future.
Beginning with the grand entry of the devil couple, Saraswatichandra's father and step mother who are all for money than family. Then came Saras' entry though Saraswatichandra's entry was quite job well done, the pond part made it seem out of place considering they were shown living in Dubai but other than that the whole first part of the episode set in dubai was a nice overview of who they are and what roles will they be playing.
Then comes Kumudsundari's family, a typical gujarati family. Love the use of language here and there showing the essence of the family. Again the introduction was to the point, loved how the ting of playfulness was used with also the serious talks about Kumud's marriage. Again, Kumud's entry could have been a little better, finding a small bead in the pool just seemed something impossible other than that loved the intro.
Coming to the main leads, Saraswatichandra and Kumud have different characteristics yet same simplicity factor in them. Saras who is calm, postured, principled, an ideal son is opposite of the bubbly, independent, going to do what I feel is right kinda girl who holds her father values and respect to uttermost importance. Love the different layers these characters come with and definitely looking forward to seeing more. There is so much about Kumud's character one can relate to which just makes the character so lovable. Just hoping these characters are kept realistic as possible and to their true self.
Though a bit fast pace I loved every bit of the episode. Only the first one and we are already talking about the marriage of leads, the day we get to see them in one screen isn't far away. Very Intrigued by the first half an hour already, can't wait for more. I have gotta give it to SLB for the grand sets, they are beautifully structured especially the pool area of Kumud's house.
