TRP for SKBM is definitely based on how much they show of Brij and Puja. They need not show only romantic scenes, though that will increase TRPs. They have to show Brij and Puja in every episode.

I am just catching up with SBKM, watching episodes from the beginning. The CVs made a mistake, I feel, in not showing Brij for almost 2 weeks when the show started. From 24th December (i am not very sure of the date) till 3rd January, they only showed Puja's father getting arrested, lot of crying, sad mood in the episodes. This went on for 10 days.

I think SBKM lost the audience who started watching it because of the intriguing plot. To establish the closeness of the Tiwari family, they wasted too many episodes, and ignored Brij. His character should have been developed equally at that time, side by side.

The hero of the story is Brij and he should be shown in every episode. And Puja should also be shown even if they don't have scenes together. The audience should be made to feel for Brij and Puja. That's the only way TRPs will increase.

well from the first episode the story is very gripping and they are showing

brij as a politician not as a lover initially it is a very well written show each and every scaracter has a depthin it problem is with the lack of promotion by channel and nothing else .their re many shows on sp and colors they have no story just saas bahu story but still on top chart bc of promotion done by channel .well i fully blame life ok channel for that.

I agree with Kamala, the show plodded along at the beginning...and while I watched impatiently, they dragged us though the Tiwary family misery and viewers could not figure out where things were going for 2 weeks. Though the actors are excellent, the character of the hapless harivansh was very annoying. It was once BBP made and appearance that things started picking up. Now the story has definitely become fast paced and it is picking up TRPs.

Some of us find Saas Bahu dramas boring, but the reality is that they (and candy floss romances) have a predictability in their plots - sort of the comfort of a Tom and Jerry theme. People do not want to over think the drama too much. Hence the popularity and appeal to the masses. Besides increasing the pace of the plot, SKBM needs to have more promos and repeat telecasts or weekend recaps if it wants to get more of its niche audience to pay attention.

durum i m agree with u but here the problem is abt proper promotion production house is working very hard thats why they also go to mauritius for shoot .and the question abt tivari fmily misey so most of the shows are popular bc of tooo much of misery shown in it.thirdly abt viewrs dont want to over think and are happy with candy floss romance so i agree a great number of viewrs are happy with sathiya type shows but there re huge population like us who can see such diff shows like skbm though such viewrs are few but are enough to raise trp's problem is no promo no press release no promotion through sbs sbb etc other this show have all the ingredient of a success ful show.i fell very sad for actors like rahul singh and kamna they are doing fab job and bc of lack of promotion their hard work is not notice and thus not getting its due appreciation they deserve a lot of awards for their hard work.

I do think that Saathiya and IPKKND are fabulous shows and the CVs and cast have all my praise for them - however they are just not something that grips me on a daily basis. I catch up with them once in a while, because the underlying thesis never changes i.e, the patern of the story arc (the "act" of the play) remains the same only the circumstances ("scenes") of each "Act" of the play change.

Yes the production house for SKBM is definitely working hard. However, the Life OK channel is brand new channel which promises us different uplifting shows and then promptly turns around and promotes Saubhagyavati (uplifting?) and Laxmi (new?) constantly, pretty much to the exclusion of all other shows... More recently they have even being advertising Saathiya!!! Again, I have no problem with the shows, just the channel - the channel brand itself is not clear. Added to that mix is SKBM...a stepchild which seems to be a sleeper hit even though it has very challenging time slots and has had a turnover of directors... ...hopefully it will survive at least long enough to give both viewers and CVs satisfaction...

The channel should have more interviews with the cast of SBKM. I have not seen any interview from Rahul Singh. If I have missed, pls send me the link. But see how many interviews Nigaar Khan got. Because she is a known face. Rahul Singh is also a known face but there is no publicity.

SBS and SBB should cover SBKM. Journalists should be invited to cover the shooting and write about what a good story it is, how different it is from usual TV serials etc. The CVs should interact with fans on facebook and things like that.

What fans can do is tell their friends about this show, on facebook, twitter etc., and get more people to watch. And make SBKM a sleeper hit, as you said.

@durum
Thanks for agreeing with me. I was actually surprised not to see Brij for almost 14 episodes. That's a major blunder. Anyway, hope they can recover. For that, Nigaar Khan has to be shown as Brij's wife. No other option. From today's episode, it looks like Rangoli is mentally gone!

Life OK channel has a strange choice of shows.
