Brij meant Girdhar bhaiya..when he took out da gun.bcs he knws Grirdhar planned it...Brij is complete fida over Pooja which is why he convinced Poojas parents to let Pooja come iwd him...and the haweli thing..i dont think it ws fishy..it dint look fishy...and da woman story he said he has loads of people in his house bcs he wanted 2 help da lady...

and he hides his feelngs from daddaji how Pooja hides it in front of her family...

Brij pulls out a gun at his office and vows to shoot someone after the elections are over. Clearly he has more grey shades.

He tells the old woman at the temple that he "has a lot of people at his home". Does he mean his party workers or does he mean something more significant?

@alphabeta Nopes I don't at all think he meant Giridhar.Coz that would be too obvious.He did say to shukla once that ''ab toh ghar mai vi aadmi surakshit nahi hai''.It means he doubts someone else.

Other things I remember being mentioned in the show_
1)He has won debate in university
2)Giridhar's son asking him why he doesn't come home at night anymore when all of them were eating at daddaji's house.
But running away from home and living at mazhar?????In which epi was it mentioned.

Since this is a political thriller (the romance is great of course)...I have wondered the same stuff.

Indeed, one of the first mysteries has been bb's rags to riches story...where did he come from? his accent is a bit too polished (the hindi often liberally peppered with english hinting at upper middle class) even if the whole hanging autoshop-hanging out at the tomb-night college-yuva neta seems very plausible. But, it might also have to do with the acting style - where an artist has to convey a "sense of the character" not mimic its very skin which means the person portraying the role sticks to his/her comfort zone of accent and language.

I think the haveli was a genuine excuse .

However, I very much agree with your observation on the BG music. It goes from ominous to happy quite frequently in the Brij-pooja scenes. Also sometimes the expressions on Brij's face are sensitive and convey attraction (when near Pooja) but there are brief moments when you wonder. It is really hard to gauge if the ominous music and the brief shady expressions are deliberate or simply the result of a shoddy edit job (my bet is on the latter).

A gun toting yuva neta is plausible but it also shows that Brij is no innocent lily white character...his link to daddaji and strange comments such as the one about "getting rid of spoilt relationships from their very roots" (when pujas footwear comes apart in his office) do make you wonder. He is very perceptive when it comes to people, so he knows about daddaji's shady dealings. Pooja represents innocence and at this juncture we do not know if the P-B attraction is just a welcome respite from a complicated life for brij or a genuine romance on his part. Since we are hearing the story as pooja's flashback, maybe we the viewers are sharing her perceptions of him. Who knows where this story will go...hope fully it wont resort to some sleazy political thriller and great romance gone bad!! For once I would like to see a good politician on the screen..

And I'm with you re: sleazy political thriller. Although I do like the political thriller aspect of it. It's SO different from all the other shows and in such a good way!

I've really enjoyed how they're building up the mysteries of Brij's past layer by layer but I would really like one or two layers to be explained now. It seems like everytime he tells Pooja something about himself, it only makes him more mysterious rather than explaining anything about him!

Like, he refers to Sangram Singh's son as his friend and apparently Aparajita trusted him enough to come seek his help. Yet, Sangram Singh hates him and he has nothing but contempt for SS and his family. What is going on? 😆

But unlike other shows where I feel angry or exasperated when I don't understand something, with this show I feel happy and excited coz of the writing.😳 I really hope they don't let us down. 😲
