Disappointed in CVs

I'm a silent member on the SSLK forum and I really enjoy reading the different posts - especially the written updates when I don't have time to catch the telecast.

I haven't watched SSLK from the beginning - I started watching around Aug '13 - around the time Rachna saved Vihaan from going to jail and the whole family was against Rachna for supporting VIhaan verses her cousin Mayank.

I might not be on point here as I didn't watch the show from the beginning so I'm not sure what concept the show started on and how far along or away they are from that.

What I can speak to is what I've seen so far on the show and the tracks they haven shown thus far. What I do not like is that Gunjan is shown to be the only person in the entire Garg Family with civic sense, street smarts and guts. While i appreciate the character's gutsy attitude and tireless efforts to raise a voice against any kind of wrong - I don't understand why CVs show this in EVERY single track - be it unveiling Mithu aka Charu, the fake Baba scandal, blogging and rallying against eve teasers, rescuing Pihu from Vikky - the list goes on. How many times will we see Gunjan risking her life and being "kidnapped" and attacked and held hostage - it seems to be a pattern with every track.

The other thing that I have a hard time with is - Charu - I don't know the full back story but I do understand that she married Mayank before Mayank married Gunjan and she has some kind of possessive/obsessive affinity for him and manages to find a way to keep coming back.

Really CVs?! So basically after 2-3 social awareness/social message type tracks which Gunjan solves we have Charu back as the villan in a new avatar and Gunjan has to rescue Mayank yet again from her clutches.

Where does Rachna feature in this? Her love story with Vihaan came to an abrupt ending ( i don't know the back story but it seemed pretty abrupt in its conclusion) and now with Kabir - their story is moving at snails pace. Kabir's entry had so much potential - suave successful America-returned fashion designer with a very fun granny to balance out his cold/stand-offish/hard exterior. He had some back story about his mother - which is yet to be brought out - and some past history that made him the way he is today. Enter young, demure, extremely talented Intern (Rachna) who slowly chisels away at his hard exterior. Now we have the age difference component that brings about another dimension to their relationship - which would be very interesting to watch. Relationships with an age difference isn't that big of a deal but it would be very interesting to see how their difference in emotional maturity takes a toll or makes their relationship that much more challenging - after all every relationship is a learning process - you learn about yourself as much as you learn about another person and how you handle the curve-balls would make for such a good story line - and that's what growing up is all about - especially in the context of Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke :)
