Absolutely Agree shivani.. Gunjan mayank and Rajiv Rachna are the back bone of the story. First Impression of a jodi is Last impression. Jodis are made when serial starts, story is scripted and time and effort is invested in building a story with two different actors who comes from different cities, different background..work on their chemistry...understand each other...time is invested by audience who try to connect to them over period of time..Changing jodis?? Not fair...Gunjan broke her Karva chauth by Mayank and Rachna did for Vihan but Rajiv was in her heart. she was still missing him on Day of Karva chauth..Poojas such karva chauth have deep meaning...you don't see a person whom you have crush in mirror..you see the person you LOVE Deeply...agar aise raha to most ladies will see their bollywood heros during karva chauth pooja as favorite actors keep changing...[/QUOTE]

Your post clarified my biggest confusion. Though, I don't believe in this pehla pyar funda, why I was rooting so badly for Rajeev-Rachna. Probably, they were screen characters who made the first impression as a jodi in initial months. (Similarly there must be fans for Gunjan-Mayank too). What CVs have done is killing the chemistry they built hard for months and expect the audience to suddenly switch over their preference.

It is not about defending the first love. It is more about getting out of our comfort zone to accept a new pair. It is almost as good as watching a new serial and trying to connect with the new characters. It is natural to resist change.

I didn't remember the girls fast. Mayank broke Gunjan karva chauth and beat seema and sangeeta the really try for Mayank not to reach the temple but he did. Rachna fast for Vihaan but she was always thinking about Rajiv. I feel Mayank and Gunjan should be together the love eachother. Rachna I am confuse I mean she was thinking but Rajiv back then but now she is all about Vihaan I am confuse and unsure. I also want Rachna with who she loves even if it that no good Vihaan.
