I just can't express the joy when I see Shail and Gunjan. Don't get me wrong, but above all Rajeev, Rachna, Mayank, couples, drama, these two characters just make my heart melt with their performances. They're not perfect characters, but their flaws and qualities make this show worth watching. Together they have such great chemistry and their screen presence is amazing. I love their relationship, and really together their creating a revolution on Indian television.
Gunjan posses a lot of qualities that young Indian women are lacking; confidence, bravery, and independence. She has flaws obviously, but her growth if you watch from the beginning of the show is watch-worthy. The fact she started a revolution with the Mintu incident (a shame he got out 😡😡), clothing (clothing doesn't have to w/ character), and finally Vihaan (blackmailing; many girls deal with, I know for a fact) was I think eye opening for many. 👏👏
In the midis of all this I think Shail goes unnoticed, I know a large portion of the viewers watch for the couples, but really Shail is the my second most important reason I watch... She, like Gunjan posses qualities mothers and women in general in India should carry. She believes in equality, and is willing to understand and take thoughtful decisions regarding her family. Like-wise her growth from the beginning of the show is incredible.
What I love most about these characters, is that they are becoming a better human being as the show progresses, they make mistakes but really learn from them and apply them. I would love an appreciation thread for the, if there already isn't one! 😳😳
