The torture inflicted on this girl, Gunjan has started to get unbearable now.

As if Seema, Sangeeta, Charu, and Pihu weren't enough, that they had to bring in Vihaan's evil plan and portray Gunjan in bad light in front of all especially her biggest support system (Shail and Rachna).

A bearable deal of negativity is required to make a show interesting. But, this is crossing the threshold now.

Seema and Sangeeta have completely given up even that 1% of humanity they had left within themselves. What was the need to have those pictures end up in Sangeeta's hands? This is just atrocious.

The worst thing now is that we'll see at least 20 episodes now with Gunjan bearing everyone's hatred, taunts, and all the bad words. And then, we'll get one episode where the truth will be revealed.

I'm totally against Vihaan-Gunjan now. It MUST NOT happen. Let Vihaan find another girl who is sub-servient to him and attends to his whims. What does he even have to give to Gunjan?

A person has to be first a good human being. Just because 2 people look good together is absolutely a wrong reason for Vihaan and Gunjan to be together. I would hate to see these getting married, definitely not after the DIRTY game Vihaaan has played.

Finally, I expect Gunjan to shun and reject Vihaan when the truth comes out. If she can take a stand to not forgive Mayank, she should NOT FORGIVE Vihaaan EITHER. In Mayank's defense, at least he did it all under his mother's and sangeeta's influence. But, Vihaan has intentionally PLANNED this all along.

Hi
I am totally confused. I see your pov and i like the pov of V and G together. I feel like this is a just prank and he will regret this deeply which will be a new start for their relationship. But why is Vihaan given another chance and not Mayank. Hmm, maybe because Mayank was accusing Gunjan left and right and completely unfair when he had an affair with her. Uske kadar nahi jani.
Maybe confused or maybe unfairly taking sides...don't know but i like V and G jodi 😆

@rnfan: I see what you're saying. But, my point is not just about Vihaan. My POV would have been the same if it was any other guy behaving this way with Gunjan.

I know this is just a telly soap and sometimes we do take these shows too seriously. But, TV is still a powerful social medium. At a time, when we are talking and concerned about women empowerment, respect, and rights more than ever, it becomes important and critical that even our shows don't show women taken for granted.

SSLK has done a great job of showing Gunjan as an independent, modern, and as someone with her own viewpoint. I would like the writers to stick to that and show Gunjan taking a tough stand when the truth gets revealed.

By the way, we have rarely seen any show where there is some kind of an evil plan against the male characters.

I agree with you Mohini u raised a valid point

Vihaan's deeds if compared to that of Mayank are far off worse than considering that Mayank's was unintentionally done and he was not planning a scheme full of revenge to get back at Gunjan...on the other hand what Vihaan is planning and doing is unforgivable because he is doing it intentionally and he's not even thinking of the consequence of his actions on Gunjan's life

After what he's done Gunjan is gonna lose the support of her family and she'll be alone and her character will be questioned. Vihaan is selfishly thinking of himself and no concerned about the two girls he's hurting

Hi Monica

Like I said before you have a great point and I completely agree with your pov. This also made me to think that why is that in my mind I am unable to forgive M and wants G and V to be a pair. Obviously we all love G. She has such a big heart and I want her to be real happy.

When M and G was in love, I loved the pair but couldn't believe how easily M accused her and did not try to find the story from her side. If he had real love for her wouldn't he try to stand up for her instead of accusing her of everything that is going wrong? I felt M was given a chance but he did not value G's love at that time. He always treated her how he feels, not the way she should be treated! Any woman/girl deserves better treatment, than the yelling, accusing and ignoring that Mayank has been doing! His typical fickle behaviour was reflected over and over during the period of their affair. I am unable to probably get over that attitude of his in the past. I feel like even if G forgives M in future, he may start treating her for granted after the initial 'love stage' is over.

Now V and G does not have a relationship so the expectation out of him is also very little. Vihaan is leading Rachna on and his intention is to take revenge. He is being intentionally evil and it is really hurtful to any girl. But then why do I feel like G and V should happen. Maybe it is due to Rajeev's justification for V that makes me think that V is not a bad character and may end up feeling really guilty for what he did once his anger is out. I feel he is being a brat and does not realize the consequence of his plan and the depth of the hurt he is going to cause. There is an expectation that it will turn around and he will understand G's value. I am thinking that this hope is what makes me want to see G with V.

I completely agree everything that you said about the telly soap/tv being a medium and showing the female for granted. Probably that is why lot of us loves this show which potrays females like G as well. As an independent female, I want G to completely reject V too for his current behavior. But there is an expectation of him becoming a better person and giving G the love and support she deserves. Let's see who Cvs shows will change for G.

Again this is my pov, please don't bash me for this

I do feel that going by what has been shown of Mayank (M) and Vihaan (V), both of them have some light shades of grey. Both of them do have an ego. Now, which one committed a lesser mistake is something that can be discussed at length and I do feel there really isn't a clear answer for that. Definitely, life is not black or white.

Both M and V's situations and circumstances were different.

Again, I'm saying this for the 3rd time in my posts, redemption may be too strong a world. However, I do feel that both guys (M & V) OWE a BIG APOLOGY to Gunjan and that too in front of everyone. M still hasn't apologized properly to G. All he did was say a simple sorry at the shaadi mandap and then went to take his seat as a Dulha. He didn't try to say to Gunjan something like "Its your decision now to forgive me or not etc. etc.".

Similarly, in V's case, I strongly feel that the only rectification could be that V is truly REMORSEFUL for his actions, tells the truth in front of all, and is truly APOLOGETIC towards Gunjan. He pretends to be a real man with his swagger and egotistical attitude. It's time that he shows that he is man enough to accept his mistakes and make amends.

By the way, let's not forget that Gunjan doesn't have anything romantic for V so far. V needs to understand that he cannot have his way everytime. The girls played a prank on him and his PRIDE was badly knocked down. V needs to use that head on his shoulders wisely. It's okay to have self-respect and self-esteem. But, interpreting false pride and full of himself attitude is not justified.

Finally, SORRY for the LONG RANT. I guess that's the danger of getting invested in these shows too much.😆😉😆

I really hate Gunjan's character now. She started everything. The prank with Vihan we all knew was no good. She went out of the way to tease Vihan and confuse him in the beginning. Just one confession is not enough for all the humiliation Vihan had to go through.
Revenge is completely justified. For Rachna I have no sympathies. She so easily forgot Rajiv and I am sure she will very easily forget Vihan and move on. She could fall in love with anyone she is so desperate. Hate her character too.
What kind of a brother Rajiv is not telling Vihan that Rachna was in love with him first. How does he know that Rachna could easily forget him and love Vihan.
Gunjan really was very unjust with Mayank. I know Mayank made a lot of mistakes and if Gunjan did not want to marry him that was perfectly fine. But tricking him to marry Charu when he knew the truth about her was not right. Mayank had the right to choose if he still wanted to marry charu or not.
Anyway the show is messed up and I do not think creatives will be able to bring it back.
Soemthing that started out so well is yet another big failure for Zee TV.

You are definitely entitled to your opinion about the show. But, I strongly beg to differ. SSLK is the channel leader and doing extremely well on the TRP chart.

Plus, one needs to understand that SSLK is not a saas-bahu crap. It is clearly a coming of age story especially related to late teens. Most teens have crushes and phases in life that they go thorugh and that is the USP of the show.

And by the way, what humiliation Vihaan had to go through?

The girls played a prank (well, Rachna started it by asking Gunjan to pretend to be Rachna). And they deserve to be treated like this. That makes no sense.
