At one point, even sati was considered a tradition but it was inhuman and therefore faded away... same should happen to KV and stuff...😡

And though some husbands do it its mainly the women who are expected to do it and some are even forced😡😡 Touching your husbands feet is even worse😡

These are nothing more than superstitions and means of male chauvinism in society😡

Well said - I just hate the fact that they expect a woman to touch the husbands feet !!! its basically total submission !!! The husband could be a womaniser /wife beater / but it is still considered patni dharam to touch his feet and put sindoor and mangalsutra 😡 just makes me sooo mad. I remember when I got married I had made it v clear that I am not touching my husbands feet - lkuckily my hubby and I think a like - so he was very clear that I will not keep karva chauth either considering he is a punjabi and I am a southindian... tho my in laws reminded me its karva chauth they did respect the fact that I dont believe in all these medievel customs...

I don't find these things romantic. These are all superstitions and I am sure that karva chauth in no way helps increasing the life of your husband.
And I feel that most of those who do this vrat are only doing drama. They eat a lot in morning just leave the lunch and then again thoos thoos k khana in evening, total rubbish. These things should be abolished as these are not traditions. These are only for showing that the society is still male dominating
