After the much-talked about liplock between Ram Kapoor
and Sakshi Tanwar in Sony's
Bade Acche Lagte Hai, another
lead pair Roopal Tyagi and
Ankit Gera have shot a
smooching scene in Zee's Sapne Suhaane Ladakpan Ke. The
kiss was filmed two days ago
amidst very few
people on the
sets. Says
Roopal, "When I
was told about
the scene, I was a little
shocked, I wasn't mentally prepared for it. I spoke to the director to find out if it was necessary and he said that it will
be the turning point of the serial. However, before agreeing
I spoke to my parents to get
their permission. They were
quite chilled out. In fact, my
mother was like, 'why are you
even asking me'. That encouraged me. However, on the day
of the shoot, I developed cold
feet and was almost in tears.
But the director and the creative team were very supportive. Also, Ankit made me really comfortable. He was joking
all through to make it easy
for me."
Ankit himself was quite
uncomfortable about the scene
though. It was only when the
director convinced him that
the scene will take the story
forward, that he agreed. Talking about it, Ankit says,
"Somebody throws acid on
Gunjan (Roopal) and although
her face is saved she gets burnt
on her neck. She panics and
her confidence is shattered.
She refuses to meet anyone.
That's when my character
Mayank tries to make her feel
comfortable. He tells her she is
the most good looking girl and
in the end, kisses her."
Roopal adds that the scene
has been shot beautifully and
is confident that it will be wellreceived by the audience. Point
out that the smooching scene
in Bade Acche... came under a
lot of fire as the audience did
not like it and Roopal argues
that it could be because that serial has a family audience.
"Sapne Suhaane..., on the other hand, has a lot of young
girls and boys watching it and
they will accept it," she maintains. Incidentally, the liplock
scene is slated to be aired on
Wednesday!
