with no offence to muslim religion i would say that the family shown in this show is a hindu family.In a muslim family u can have cousins married but in hindu family even a cousin's close cousin is not acceptable.marrying your own bua's son is out of question.however door ka rishta is accepted for proposals.As far as marrying your mama is concerned I have heard about it but that happens only in south indians but dont know on what grounds as I find it ridiculous

i am a hindu. Yes i am a south indian and yes you can marry your bua s son. Coz the main criteria is marrying someone who is not from your gotra. Any person outside your gotra is fine:-)

I know that happens in south Indians.With no offence to anybody but I find that weird.Anyways that does not happen in any other part of India and in this show I dont think they should have paired them.Atleast the relation should have been shown different

This was the first question arrived in my mind when i first came to know mayank is Rachana's cousin brother.

I had read that Mayank is paired for Gunjan. so i was like how can it be? door ka rishta ho ya pass ka. even though blood relation is not there in tradition your brother and sister.

common sense of relation is.

Gunjan is Rachana's sis

Mayanak is Rachana's Brother

if Mayank and Gunjan gets married? what will Rachana call Gunjan?

Bhabhi??

yes Gunjan can be her husbands brothers wife. but not her brother's wife.

it is some what direct relation between Gunjan and mayank.

I dont know about charu as i have not seen last few episodes. but mayank and gunjan definately cant marry as per culture.

THey should have show the relationship as. Mayank is a rachana's dad's sister's son. this relation should have worked. but i think Mayank is Rachana's dad's brothers son. which definitely wont work for marriages.

then CV's ka culture kya hai wo karenge show me. 😊

Its just so awkward and revulting. I wish theyvshow that he was adopted. That would make it a little better to accept i think.

mujhe to lagta hain ki writer kisi doosri duniya se aaya hain jise hamare culture ke baare mein itni mamooli si baat bhi nahi maloom.chale hain bhai behen ka rishta jodne

actually door ka rishta proposals come in such a way that that if gunjan is to get married and shail,sangeeta,seema or daya has a chacha ki or mama ki beti ya beta aur uska koi beta ho ya phir us chacha ki beti ka koi devar vagerah ho then it is considered for marriage.

but yahan to shail ke apne hi sage bhateeje ke saath gunjan ka taaka bhir raha hain.

lagta hain koi nayi reet shuru hone waali hain.😆 😆

aage aage dekhe hota hain kya?

actually dads sisters son will be called as mama ki beta or something. which is acceptable to get married. yes in English we call everyone as cousin. but as a relation is concerned brother and sisters children wont be brother and sis. i dont know in north india. but here in south india own brother and sis children can marry. it is like mama ki beta. mami ki beti. in many hindi films also they have showed that i think.

so if mayank used to be rachana;s dads sisters's son he was not like brother to rachana. but as Gunjan is rachana's sisters daughter. Gunjan can get married to Mayank.

but here it is direct brother and sis relation. god knows what Cv's are doing.
