PR was the biggest competitor for bidaaii

thanks for sharing shanti,anmols character was more challenging,& apu did a fabulous job. that is why trps were so high.there is so much scope left for future story wish they come back. i am very glad apu did a diffrent character rather then replace kinushk as ranveer, i think when the actor changes it loses the magic of the character. just my pov no offense intended.

I agree Rozy, I also see a point in what Hiten said, audience is mature enough to give the benefit of doubt to the way the show displays such changes,
Indeed me being a folower of Apurva's shows ever since he entered JJKN though I watched the later since I did'nt have SONY @ that point but then watched Kaajjal and caught up with JJKN and then the other show he did and when he enetered Bidaaii I was indeed thrilled but was also wondering how his role would be executed..

Now when I see again a pivitol character being replaced and changes in a show which is no1 in anothe rchannel which was running @ the same time slot as Bidaaii and what the actor has to say ,
All I feel is Bidaaii went to newer diemnsion with the addition of Apurva .,.. and also mch can I say that teh storyline clicked...

Looking at long running show again feels the pinch that Bidaaii had a wonderful story to move ahead which had a good foundation over the later part of the leap and people loved the way the show was moving and then we know your show is stopped inspite of doing great on the chart..

Well I to see him back again in a sequel of the show hoping that the role of Anmol is what he loved even more and we loved too ...

In PR which was a competitor for bidaaii when bidaaii was airing had apurva enter when it was needed and apurva considered Rajan ji as a remarkable director as it's also how his rappo was with him.

This was what he mentioned in one of this interview when he joined bidaaii which saw changes to the character entry and storyline, he was more of an addition and not a replacement face-off of the lead which hiten will be doing but still the change has it's reasons and need basis

Apoorva Agnihotri who won a lot of fans for himself portraying the popular character of Armaan Suri in Sony's super hit show Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, is back to the demanding schedules of daily soaps with Rajan Shahi's Bidaai on Star Plus.

The actor who was last seen in Imagine's Radha Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi when it comes to fiction, talks about his long-going association with Rajan Shahi, on his role in Bidaai, about his secret passion and much more in an exclusive conversation with TellyBuzz'

On his journey from Jassi to Bidaai..

The journey has been great, and I have enjoyed every role that I have played so far. I have started shooting for Bidaai, and I am glad to get back to the grinding schedules of television (smiles).

On his association with Rajan Shahi

Well, I know Rajan Sir from the days of Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin. He is a remarkable director, and I am honoured to be a part of his show now. In fact, I know everyone in his team; it's like getting back to your family. Romesh Kalra was the one who directed me in the Sony show. It feels nice to see a growth pattern in the careers of the entire team.

On the reason for accepting Bidaai

The primary reason for accepting Bidaai is Rajan Shahi. Also I got an opportunity of associating myself with a daily soap on Star Plus for the very first time.

On the Kinshuk factor in his life

It is a nice coincidence that we both have a connection from the days of Kaajjal ' Sabbki Aankhon Mein Basi. In Bidaai, I will be seen opposite Ragini (Parul Chauhan). I have not really thought much about the fans' reaction yet. I know that Kinshuk Mahajan has played the role of Ranveer very well, and has garnered a great response. At the outset, I hope that people love my character too and accept it.

On television of today

I sincerely want television to come back to the cities (smiles). In the past few years, I have been offered so many roles that were literally two faced. I did not want to be part of shows which had no entertainment value, with all the crying and sad stuff. Bidaai is one such show which has a right mix of everything.

On his character in Bidaai

I play the rich business tycoon, Anmol who comes to the Rajvansh family as a ray of hope at a very critical point when they are down and out. Anmol gives his best shot to take care of the entire family. He will try to bond with everyone in the house. I am basically a happy-go-lucky guy who tries to spread happiness.

On shooting with the Bidaai team

It's been three days since I am shooting with them. It's been fun and I like the atmosphere. I enjoyed shooting for my entry sequence which is a dance performance in a party. I am presently shooting scenes with Parul and the entire family.

On his look in the show

I have discarded my long hair, and have got it chopped. I will have this rich look, and will be seen in the typical suits and pants.

On the shows he likes on television

I love to watch Balika Vadhu as it looks genuine. I also like Desperate Housewives, it is a fantastic show and has a new way of showing a story.

On his secret passion

I want to direct a film before I breathe my last (smiles). I don't worry whether the film I make is good, bad or ugly; my aim is to just direct a film.

On maintaining a low profile always

That's the way I like it. I prefer to be low profile and not media savvy. I believe in talking only when I have something to talk about.

On his personal life

It's been great with Shilpa around. We recently went on a 25 day trip to New York. I also got an opportunity to visit my dream destination ' The New York Film Academy.

On extending his family

We would love to, but it will be in the next year.

Hiten Tejwani on his camaraderie with Ekta Kapoor,why he doesnt mind being the replacement specialist and the changing face of Indian television

He is best known as the replacement actor.Blame it on the fact that hes considered a popular choice when it comes to replacing male leads on prime time shows on channels (hes replaced Manav Gohil in Kkusum,Sandeep Baswana in Kkoi Dil Mein Hai and Cezanne Khan in Kasauti Zindagi Kay).Hitens now set to replace Sushant Singh Rajput in Pavitra Rishta.He says,Replacing a lead actor is a big responsibility and challenge.I have done several roles so far and so only something that is challenging would have excited me.Thats why I took up this show.I know it wont be easy to replace Sushant but with my positive attitude and hard work I am sure I will take the character to another level.I will try and make the character look different.

Commenting on why he is always the obvious choice for replacing lead actors on shows,Hiten feels,the channels and productions house heads are the best people to answer this.But I am happy they think I am capable of replacing actors and they are giving me a chance to perform.

Working with producer Ekta Kapoors production house in many shows,Hiten shares a great professional rapport with her.He says,Ekta has faith in me.We have a comfort level with each other.She pampers me a lot.If I need anything on the sets she knows it in advance.We know how to work with each other. Hiten has worked with other production houses too,but the shows hes done with Ekta has inevitably grabbed more eyeballs.He says,I have done only cameos or small roles for some production house,I played the lead in Ektas shows,so there can be no comparison at all.If I had full fledged roles in those shows,things might have been different.

Hiten has been part of the television industry for long and he feels TV shows and actors have changed a lot.He says ruefully,Audiences are very smart these days.People like shows that have substance.Today there are so many shows and channels that it is difficult to keep the audience hooked to one show for very long.And that is why we dont have shows with good recall value. He also feels that there are so many new faces in the television industry who work for less remuneration and end up as one show wonders.Hiten says,Hardly 10 per cent newbies survive in the industry.I feel the lead character needs to be strong with whom the audience can connect.

Hiten has also had his share of Bollywood films and acted in Krishna Cottage,Joggers Park and Anwar but he is not doing any film at the moment.When he is not acting,Hiten manages his restaurant.He says,Actors have a limited shelf life.I think all actors should have something to fall back on,so that they can do selective roles.

There was a time when being married did not work in an actors favour in the glam world.Audiences are more matured now.They love us for your work and know that we have a personal life too, he says on a parting note.

Bidaaii post leap worked with addition of apurva as the lead and the chemistry of apurva as anmol with parul as ragini gave a beautiful subtle romance and with depth and intensity . The show got elevated and became iconic on the charts

Wished it ran a little longer and we saw some beautiful chemistry between anmol and the characters in the leap

Many fans and people who understood is role and the character appreciated him for a beautiful performance

Wish to see apurva again in a new season of bidaaii before he settles down into direction as he did deserve more to play and bidaaii deserved to stay longer with the performance it gave with the leap , but wish for a sequel and he being a part and a pivotal role which interests him and with beautiful costar like parul with him.

After a big gap of a year , wonder if Bidaaii will come in the coming year or after 2 years , would really love to see Apurva in it , I hope he dose'nt decide to go into direction which I see him leaning more as he has taken such a long gap this whole year not taking up any show , maybenithing interests him, Anmol was something which was close to his heart Iam sure , that showed him such an etched character in him with all the elements .,..He lived the character and we fell in love with it..

His chemistry with Parul was amazing just what stage in life I define as LOVE when characters Anmol and Ragini have that silent admiration for each other the leap showed that beautoiful mature love story between a husband and wife which is very true to life, Parul's character matched Apurva's so well, there were many elements where she smiled at the many things he said that was an aura of romance and the blushes she did feel when he spoke to her..

Its amazing that they did flow so well with the least amount of scenes interms of commnication they had in teh 4 1/2 months... and the pre leap and post leap Ragini's character had gathered a higher character caliber which is always needed for the show when dimension ..

The pairing gave some new taste to showing how a new phase of love can be portayed , yes mostly it was blended with family , but when they were alone they had all the chemistrologic (a blend of chemistry and logistic )attraction needed in the characters to make the audience love them and their respect for each other !

I would love to see Apurva and Parul in a show together if Bidaaii sequel well and good and great or someother show which give such beautiful characters they showed in Anmol and Ragini and their storyline...

Pavitra Rishtha has a new cometitor Divya aur Batti , donno how the changes wuld help the shows success , but definatly like Apurva made Bidaaii excell to new heights when it ended with the support of all other characters , hope Hiten also can cary the flagship of the show to a better horizon...


Bidaaii leap worked and emerged a success, and could have stayed longer ,Nevertheless I am glad Apurva gave his share to the success 👏👏👏👏👏 and can feel proud about that
