Sony regains No. 2 spot as Bigg Boss 5 dips

In Week 42, Star Plus slipped from 304 to 292 GRPs, but stayed the clear leader among the GECs.

Sony was back in second place with 257 GRPs from 248 last week.

Colors dropped to third place with 218 GRPs, from 255 last week.

Zee TV fell to 139 GRPs from 142 last week, Sab garnered 123 GRPs (121 last week).

Imagine was at 64 GRPs (66 last week), Star One was at 34 (33 last week) and Sahara One on 30 (34 last week).

What ever the statistic shows after n number of months show is picking up on 9 pm slot , yet Bidaaii was'nt suppose to have stopped when it was gaining as a slot leader and doing well in the crucial weeks when reality show was also on the charts..

Balika Vadhu is one of the longest running daily and its being consistant is a good achievement with the changes it has etched and coming back on charts , wished Starplus had treated Bidaaii in a similar fashion when the changes were getting its focus through the audience

I used to like watching BV , Iam glad it is still part of the charts while Bidaai is not but there is always hope seeing Apu sitting before Ekta's actors is always hopeful when he has not done a single show in this year.
I still feel somewhere Bidaai2 shall be back .
Diya is doing well that as marriage made that show work .

If you like new shows it doesnt mean you will bash yrkkh or any other shows like that. Kinny11 plzzz stay on your limits. firsrt you bash bidaai and foursome and bidaai cast and now yrkkh. this will not be tolerated.

Rekha every show has its bandwidth , even BV had its ups and downs and now its getting its footage ...
Yes when you see BV still a part of the charts or still running for that matter so they have story to cntinue and people are liking it,
Bidaaii took the risk of the leap the way their was criticism abt the way the new character was added and it was accepted by teh audience who truly wished to see more and RS also in his interview said that when teh show ended we all thought... so the thought says that the show ha a lot more abd which show ends at No 1, with being on the charts when the focus was on a particular part of the story line it had every reason to stay ..

Its good that new shows also pick up Audience give the final verdict and the channel rules on TRP so if teh shw is still working let it go on till a point that it needs to have a closure..

Also I think they did have more volume in the storyline when it was getting momentum so its pretty unfair to stop when BV is still gettng footage .. Threading of storyline is what viwers get attracted to and the perfoamnce of actors so in every aspect Bidaaii was going great alas they stopped it ...

I wish to see Apurva in Bidaaii 2 whenever its made since I think the depth the leap took anything below that viewers will leave no time to switch remote ... And well I know our stands abt SONY shows so I wiil keep it away may be since someone is off screen for the moment

When I see Balika Vadhu still running with its new shades and leap , Bidaaii was also given a risk of leap and performend well, I hope they bring the show with the post leap characters and actors, well deserved for their efforts.

Yeah Rishtha may also need a leap as it will help the show maybe Akshara 's child as this show is also from Dkut , otherwise there is no other show from the production house and people will watch other shows.

Diya aur Batti has picked up since Pavitra Rishta is loosing focus, good to see that starplus 9 pm slot is getting its chance, but still ending Bidaii with great TRP's and being No1 stil will be unanswered and when the channel promised its return I hope they considered it 😊

Every show hs its ups and downs. Last week yrkkh was number 8 but now its 12. so i am sure next week it will have an increase in its rating inshallah ameen.

Over the last nine weeks, Amitabh Bachchan's show, Kaun Banega Crorepati Season Five, hasn't been ousted from the top five shows on Hindi general entertainment channels. Since it started airing on August 15 on Sony Entertainment this year, it has been scoring four points on an average every week.
In the week that it started, there were more fiction shows like Pavitra Rishta (Zee TV) and Balika Vadhu (Colors) registering decent numbers. Over the weeks, the only soap that has managed to steer ahead of KBC is Saath Nibhana Saathiya (Star Plus). Balika Vadhu, which was the number one show for a couple of weeks before KBC started, and Pavitra Rishta, that was usually in the top 10 slot every other week, have both slipped. So have others like Uttaran (Colors), Pratigya (Star Plus) and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (Star Plus). Balika… managed to return with its 'unexpected' twists and turns; Pavitra Rishta along with a couple of others, have fallen out of the top 10 slot over the weeks.

Even Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt's joint efforts haven't managed to do much for Bigg Boss 5 (Colors) ratings. There was a hairline difference in the show's opening numbers (4.25), and the numbers KBC 5 (4.23) registered in the former show's first week. According to the numbers by TAM India, the official authority that issues viewership numbers for all shows in the country, Bigg Boss 5 is already out of the race, as it wasn't seen among the top 10 shows this week.

Several TV critics on blogs and other spaces have credited the numbers for KBC to the 90-minute slot it occupies in the prime time band of the channel, something no other Hindi GEC did before for a prolonged period. Danish Khan, head of marketing, Sony, says, "We had strategised for this long before the show started. This season, we've got what we wanted."

Indeed Colors has kept its long running show , Balika Vadu .. It returns with its unexpected twists and turns..

It has gone over 3+ years and managed to be on the charts. shows after a period need some changes to attract viewers Bidaaii also gave the twists and turns in the show which was appriciated and during tough reality shows like Big boss and KBC last year it emerged successful yet they stop it when it was No1,

Other channels seem to be liberal with the TRP racket or only SP removed the No1 show it had, Hope they bring it back with teh way it was left
